Loyola Blakefield Presidential Search Committee

Monica Bradley is past president of the Loyola Mothers Club, and continues to be actively involved at Loyola. She taught Special Education in public, private and Catholic schools for seven years. Monica is mother of Eddie ’10 and Bennett ’13.

Ryan A. Burch ’96 is regulatory counsel for PayPal. At Loyola, Ryan was both an excellent student and an outstanding athlete, and later served as the Assistant Director of Admissions. Ryan serves on the board of directors of the St. Elizabeth School Foundation and the Seth Meiller Foundation.

Hon. J. Norris Byrnes ’56, trustee, served for more than 15 years on the County Circuit Court’s 3rd Judicial Circuit, before retiring in 2005. Judge Byrnes was awarded the Rev. Joseph M. Kelley, S.J. Medal, the highest recognition given to a Loyola alumnus, in 2001.

Daniel P. Cahill ’81, trustee, is Vice President of Sales at WebbMason. Dan is past president of the Alumni Association, and also serves on the board of Notre Dame Preparatory School. He is father of Sean ’09 and Gavin ’14.

Joseph A. DeSantis ’82 (search committee chair), trustee, served as Chief Executive Officer of MBNA Canada and in numerous other leadership roles at MBNA Corporation and its successor company, Bank of America. Before joining MBNA, Joe practiced law with Dewey Ballantine in Washington, D.C.

Thomas P. Durkin, ‘77, has taught at Loyola for 22 years. He has taught English at all seven grade levels, has served as English Department Chair, and is currently a Learning Specialist in Murray Learning Services. He is the father of Patrick ‘96 and Tommy ‘98.

Michael C. Ford is vice president of global diversity and inclusion for Hilton Worldwide, and has more than 20 years experience in business operations, diversity, human resource management, and law. Michael serves on the board of the Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust, which works with Baltimore independent schools to support academically ambitious African American students with financial need through the admissions process.

Fr. Bruce A. Maivelett, S.J. ’76, trustee, is director of Ignatian Identity and Mission & Ministry at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. Much of Fr. Maivelett’s work over nearly 35 years as a Jesuit and 25 years as a priest has focused on Jesuit formation and secondary education.

Anne Hargaden Price, trustee, is director of Student Academic Support and coordinator for Ignatian Mission & Identity at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Baltimore. Before joining Cristo Rey, Anne was principal of Sacred Heart School in Glyndon. She is mother of Arthur '96, John '97, and Sebastian '02.

Joseph A. Sullivan, ex officio, chair of Loyola’s board of trustees, is Head of Global Distribution at Legg Mason, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He also serves on the board of trustees of Catholic Charities of Baltimore. Joe is father of Tim ’01, Matthew ’04, and Andrew ’06.

Paul A. Tiburzi ’73, trustee, is managing partner of DLA Piper’s Baltimore office, where he has practiced law for many years. Paul has served in leadership roles in numerous organizations promoting Baltimore, and currently serves on the boards of the Greater Baltimore Committee and Maryvale Preparatory School. He is father of Danny ’15 and Michael ’19.

Patricia S. Utz, trustee, is director of Admission & Financial Aid at Jemicy School. Pat has worked in the fields of advocacy and learning differences for over 30 years, and has taught children from pre-school level through high school. She is mother of Rob ’05.

Maureen Walsh is headmistress of The Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, where she has served for 10 years. Prior to joining Bryn Mawr, Maureen served in a variety of leadership roles at Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School in Brooklyn, New York since 1986.
