SOLOMONS, MD -- The air was thick with humidity and sounds of screaming fans as Collective Soul and The Good Dolls rocked the last of the Waterside Concert Series at Calvert Marine Museum Aug. 26.

With blasts of foggy fumes and a brightly lit stage, The entertained the crowds with hits such as “Iris,” “Slide,” “” and “Stay With You.”

The band, currently comprised of with lead vocals and guitar, and in backing vocals and bass, released their latest album “Boxes” in May.

“It’s a perfect night to be out here with a few thousand of your friends,” said Rzeznik, who encouraged the crowds to sing along with him.

Phil, who traveled to see the band, said that he was one of the first to sign up for their fan club in the early 90's.

“But then I had to pay for it,” he said jokingly.

Collective Soul opened the show with hits such as “Shine,” "All That I Know," "Hollywood," and more. At one point during their performance, someone threw a beach ball into the crowd to slap around up and over arms reaching for the stage.
