Existe cierta confusión taxonómica de esta especie, ya que el género Pulsatilla a veces es incluido en el género Anemone. Nombre comercial, Formulación (%), Presentación: Estructura química: Fórmula química: Peso molecular: Tipo de plaguicida: Fungicida y microbicida Clasificación: Uso: Presentaciones comerciales: PROPIEDADES FÍSICAS Y QUÍMICAS Planta herbácea perenne de la familia Ranunculaceae, con hojas muy divididas en su base y con aspecto de helecho, de flores azules a púrpuras en forma de copa. Varias de las plantas de la familia Ranunculaceae contienen Aconitina (No. CAS 302-27-2) y otros alcaloides diterpenoides. Algunas de las plantas del género Anemone producen saponinas triterpénicas, como la Patensina; así como un glicérido llamado Ranunculina, que es degradado enzimáticamente en los tejidos de las plantas dañadas para liberar una lactona llamada Protoanemonina. De la destilación acuosa del extracto de las plantas de este género, se obtiene una sustancia oleosa y acre llamada aceite de Anemone, el cual se descompone en Ácido Anemónico y Anemonina. La especie Anemone multifida (Pulsatilla patens) produce una llamada Patensina. PELIGROSIDAD Salud (Azul): Inflamabilidad (Rojo): Riesgo de Explosión (Amarillo): DESTINO EN EL AMBIENTE Persistencia: TOXICIDAD PARA LOS ORGANISMOS Y EL MEDIO AMBIENTE Tipo toxicológico: Varias de las sustancias que puede contiene esta planta producen diferentes efectos en los organismos. La Aconitina y otros alcaloides diterpenoides son neurotóxicos. La Protoanemonina es fuertemente irritante y lacrimógena, es citotóxica porque alquila proteínas y otras biomoléculas y tiene actividad antibacteriana, antimalárica y fungicida. La Anemonina también es muy irritante, deprime la actividad de la médula espinal y frena la circulación sanguínea y la respiración. Las saponinas triterpénicas son citotóxicas y tienen actividad fungicida y molusquicida. El Ácido Anemónico y la Ranunculina se consideran inocuos. Se han reportado algunos casos de ovejas y otros animales que han muerto por sobrepastar plantas que contiene Protoaneminina; también se han obervado casos de abortos y efectos teratogénicos en animales que consumieron dichas plantas. La infusión concentrada de la planta completa de Anemone multifida se usa para matar piojos y pulgas. .

Abstract: A critical review of botanical nomenclature for Anemone patens L. is given based on a rigorous literature analysis. Complete morphological characteristics and karyology of the taxon are compiled using data from the floristic treatments of Europe and North America. The phylogeny of A. patens in relation to a variety of contrasting historical, ecological and evolutionary factors acting through the species range transformation and speciation is elucidated. Keywords: morphological characteristics, chromosome numbers, taxonomic considerations, origin, evolution Introduction Some plants, such as Anemone patens L. sensu lato from the buttercup or crowfoot family (Ranunculaceae), with very broad geographical range, highly expressed polymorphism, the existence of numerous transitional forms, convergent evolution, ability to cross and interbreed in a great variety of habitats, may become a nightmare for taxonomists. Arguably, A. patens is one of the most problematic taxa in the genus Anemone L., as far as circumscription and distribution are concerned, which was noted by many authors (e.g. ZÄMELS 1926; TZVELEV 2001). Taxonomic status of A. patens has been widely debated by botanists over a few centuries since the time it was first described by LINNAEUS (1753).

Prusa 12, 08-110 Siedlce, Poland *corresponding author (e-mail: [email protected]) Abstract: A new locality of Pulsatilla patens (L.) Mill. in the Wyszków-Jegiel Forest District, in the southern part of Puszcza Biała (ATPOL EC79) is described. This locality is situated on an escarpment, at the edge of Peucedano-Pinetum fresh pine forest with elements of Serratulo-Pinetum mixed pine forest and Potentillo albae-Quercetum steppe oak forest. Good light conditions prevail in the place of plant occurrence. Studies carried out in 2008-2015 showed an increasing trend of P. patens population, though, recently, this population seems to be stable. The number of species accompanying the pasque-flower also increased in this time period. It was found based on the analysis of flora directly neighbouring the clumps of the pasque-flower. During 7 years, the number of taxa increased by 31.5% on plot I and by 25% on plot II. In the years 2011-2013, the pasque- flower was represented both by flowering (1-2) and vegetative individuals. Afterwards, the plant was present only in vegetative stage. The number of its leaves varied in time. The highest number of leaves – 14 per individual – was noted in 2014, and the lowest number (1) – in 2012.

Jiras1 1 Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Department of Ecology, Czech Republic 2 Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Department of Forest Ecology, Czech Republic Pulsatilla grandis is an endangered species in the Czech Republic and is protected in whole Europe because the number of its populations is declining. One of the possible causes is the deposition of atmospheric nitrogen. In our research, we investigated how nitrogen concentrations and seed appendage removal directly affect the species’ seed germination.Seeds were allowed to –1 germinate under laboratory conditions in water solutions of NH4NO3 ranging in concentration from 0 to 4239 mg N l . They were able to germinate up to the concentration of 848 mg N l–1 even when covered with mycelium, which supports the idea that they can tolerate being strongly infected by fungi. We also found a significant positive effect of seed appendage removal on seed germination. Seeds without appendages germinated, on the average, with 11% greater probability, compared to seeds with appendages. We conclude that the germination of P. grandis is not directly affected by high N concentrations in rain wa- ter, which can range from 10 to 13 mg N l–1 near large cities. Surprisingly, low concentrations of N (up to 34 mg N l–1) might even slightly support the seed germination of P. grandis. The negative effect of N deposition on seeds is indirect and acts in conjunction with the absence of management at localities.

Population structure of Pulsatilla patens in relation to the habitat quality – Barbara Juśkiewicz-Swaczyna – Abstract This paper presents a study on a population of Pulsatilla patens conducted in 2009 in the Natura 2000 wildlife refuge called “Grasslands in the Military Training Grounds in Orzysz” in the Masurian Lake District (NE Poland). The purpose of the study was to determine the population structure of Pul- satilla patens, especially with regard to abundance, density, and percentage of life cycle stages in the total population. Correlations were examined between these population features and selected environmental characteristics including cover of phanerogams, cryptogams, litter, and bare soil. For the evaluation of the linear relationship between the variables, Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used. In order to identify the factors that have significant influence on the values of the dependent variables, a multiple regression analysis was performed. In total, 316 individuals of Pulsatilla patens were recorded: 62 flower ing adults, 202 vegetative adults and 52 juveniles. The number of flowers per individual varied from one to 12, the average being three flowers. Most individuals occurred in dry heath, and the small- est number of individuals was found in pine forest. The mean density per habitat ranged from one to 11 individuals per 4 m2. Increased cover of phanerogams and cryptogams caused a decrease in the density of Pulsatilla patens individuals.
