Dear Churchwarden (elected in 2019 & 2020)

2021 ’s Visitation and Admission of Churchwardens:

If you are standing down and there is a newly appointed Churchwarden, please forward this email to them so that they are aware of the necessary information about attending an Admission Service. If you are receiving this, we hold information that you were appointed in 2019 or 2020, and the completion of Articles of Enquiry is your responsibility to complete.

We have six admission services via Zoom this year, which will be approximately half an hour in duration. The Service sheet which will be used at each service is attached. Monday 21 June at 10.30am or 7.30pm Tuesday 29 June at 12noon or 7.30pm Monday 5 July at 11.00am or 2.30pm

These details are on the Citation with the Zoom links. You need to email Cheryl informing her which Zoom service you will be attending or informing her you can’t manage any of the services. Email is the preferred means of communication as Cheryl is working remotely twelve miles away from Bouverie Court so is unable to access post.

There is no paperwork to complete and return this year. A register will be taken at each Zoom service to monitor attendance.

APCMs and Paperwork: It is recommended that you arrange to hold the APCM mid to late May as this will give you the greatest possibility of meeting face to face. Your PCC Secretary will be receiving the Detail Form shortly. This form needs to be completed as soon as possible after the APCM and returned to Karen so that the Diocesan database is accurate for Cheryl when she pulls down the list of Churchwardens.

Citation Form (attached): I have attached the Citation Form detailing the services with the Zoom links. Please email Cheryl which service you will be attending. If you can’t make any of the dates, please contact Cheryl as soon as possible.

Articles of Enquiry (attached): These are for you (ie the churchwardens elected in 2019 or 2020) to complete together – it is a retrospective response. These can be completed immediately and should be returned to this office preferably by email to secretary.northampton@peterborough-.org.uk by 31 March 2021. Do keep a copy of your submission for your records.

As in previous years all the documentation is on the Diocesan website, found on the page under Northampton Archdeaconry paperwork for Churchwardens – link below. If you are not taken directly to this page when you click on it please copy and paste the link into your search bar and this will take you directly to the Archdeacons’ part of the Diocesan website. https://www.peterborough-diocese.org.uk/people/archdeacons

The following documents are available on the website via the link:  A copy of this email  Articles of Enquiry  Northampton Archdeaconry Citation  Service sheet for the Zoom Admission Services – please have to hand when attending the service

If you are not standing for re-election, I thank you for the service you have given and I would be grateful if you could pass this email to the new churchwarden so that they have the necessary information to contact Cheryl to attend a Zoom Admission Service.

Ven Richard Ormston Archdeacon of Northampton
