For more than fifty years, legend Suzi Quatro has been in the music and entertainment business, vowing only to retire “when I go onstage, shake my ass, and there is silence.” But there’s no chance of missing her anytime soon if you tune into Brooklands Radio -- we’ll be broadcasting an exclusive interview with Quatro on Thurs. This month Quatro releases her newest album “The Best of Suzi Quatro, Legend” on Gold Vinyl, CD and Digital (Sept. 22, Chrysalis Records Ltd), following her last studio album in 2011. Also for the first time Quatro’s four studio albums from the ‘70s -- Your Mamma Won’t Like Me,” AggroPhobia,” “If you knew Suzi,” and “Suzi…and other four letter words” -- will be digitally remastered and available for download and streaming across all platforms.

Quatro also goes on tour in the UK next month, headlining the “Legends Live Tour” at London SSE Wembley Arena on Oct. 20, Brighton Centre Brighton on Oct. 21, and SSE Hydro Glasgow on Oct. 13. Born in the USA in 1950, Quatro rose to worldwide fame as a singer, and multi- instrumentalist – the first female bass player to become a major rock star and breaking the barrier to women's participation in . Quatro scored a string of hit singles in and , reaching no. 1 in the UK and elsewhere with "" (1973) and "" (1974), while her duet "Stumblin' In" with Smokie's lead singer reached No. 4 in the USA. Quatro also found fame as an actress, with a recurring role as bass player Leather Tuscadero on the popular American sitcom .

Following her eponymous 1973 debut album, Quatro released fifteen studio albums, ten compilations and one live album, selling more than 50 million albums worldwide. Quatro continues to perform live and present on radio, with forays into writing, including her novel The Hurricane published last May by Newhaven Publishing and a collection of poems entitled “Through my eyes.”
