  • Gold Standards Framework in Care Homes - Accredited Care Homes
Gold Standards Framework in Care Homes - Accredited Care Homes Care Homes that have received the Quality Hallmark Award 2008 - 2020 The GSFCH Training Programme aims to improve the organisation and quality of care for residents in the last years of life, to improve collaboration across boundaries and to reduce avoidable hospital admissions. To qualify for accreditation, care homes must have undertaken the full GSFCH Training programme over 6-9 months, embedded this into their homes for at least 4-6 months and then undertaken a rigorous accreditation process 'Going for Gold’. There are many benefits to being a GSF Accredited Home and we hope that this will encourage other homes to go forward for accreditation in future. This process ensures Quality Improvement; Quality Assurance and Quality Recognition for all homes involved and can reassure PCT commissioners and others that good end of life care will be provided for their residents. The accreditation process is endorsed by the English Community Care Association, Registered Nursing Home Association, National Care Association and National Care Forum. • Chairman's Chat
. No 33 Winter 2017 ‘Fuzzacker’ (Dartford Warbler) on Gorse Chairman’s chat Dates for your diaries: Annual Parish Meeting Tuesday 24th Times of Change? April 2018 held in Ibsley Village Hall Some of you may know, and some may not, that our boundaries have changed - in more ways than one! Do get in touch with any suggestions In our Parish the administrative boundary or rather the County Councillors Award boundary changed last April and our parish now comes under the Ringwood division instead of Fordingbridge. Our new elected for the Guest Speaker! County representative is CCllr. Michael Thierry who takes the place of CCllr Edward Heron who still represents parishes to the north. Extraordinarily, our parochial (church) boundaries have also changed as Police Beat Surgery at Hockey’s Farm from last month. Having exhausted the subject of the New Forest and Commoners Rights in previous Shop Newsletter issues, I wanted to 'chat' about our local churches within the parish and it seems an opportune ● Wednesday 20th Dec. 11:00-11:30 moment to do so given the change in our ecclesiastical structure. Hitherto, the churches of Ellingham and Harbridge together with Hyde came under the umbrella of Fordingbridge although we were fairly well self-contained as one Parochial Church Council. Now, Hyde has moved to the north to join the Avon Valley Partnership and Ellingham & Harbridge have amalgamated with the Ringwood Benefice which includes Poulner and Bisterne together with St Leonards and St Ives. Both the AVP and Ringwood Benefice together form the New Forest North Group Ministry. Sounds complicated, doesn't it?! However, your churches are still here for you and we are fortunate to have two Anglican churches and an Evangelical & Reformed Chapel within our parish.
