Shereen Bhan is the Managing Editor of CNBC-TV18. A graduate from St. Stephen's College, and a post-graduate in Communication Studies from the University of , she has over 15 years of experience in the field of Television Broadcast, 14 of which were spent in tracking corporate, policy news and events that defined the business landscape in . For over a decade now, Shereen has been not only producing and anchoring flagship daily news shows like 'India Business Hour' and 'What's Hot', she has also been hands-on in guiding and moulding young business journalists. She has been responsible for breaking a range of news stories that have redefined the Indian economic landscape in recent times and has also interviewed some of the biggest names in business and politics, both domestic and global. Shereen is also the Anchor & Editor of 'Young Turks', one of India's longest running shows on entrepreneurs – a section that over the last 13 years has successfully built a niche category in business news programming. Shereen is also the Author of Young Turks, a book recently published by Random House India. She also hosts 'Overdrive', which won the News Television Award for the 'Best Auto Show' for three consecutive years, and also heads the channel's special feature programming that carries several pioneering shows such as 'Ministers of Change' and 'What Women Want'. Over the course of her 14-year tryst with business journalism, Shereen has been the recipient of the 'Best Business Talk Show' award at the News Television awards for two years consecutively. She also won the 'FICCI Woman of the Year' award for her contribution to the Media in 2005, and was named a 'Young Global Leader' by the World Economic Forum. She won the ‘Best Business Anchor Award’ at the ‘News Television Awards’ in 2013.

PROFILE OF MR.C.K. MISHRA Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare Government of India

C.K. Mishra joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1983 and currently heading the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. As Additional Secretary & Mission Director, National Health Mission, ledone of the largest public health programme. In more than 30 years of public service, C. K. Mishra has served as an administrator, policy-maker and public health strategistholding a wide range of assignments in the fields of Health, Education, Industry and Power.

C.K. Mishra is recognised for his significant contributions to improving the Indian Public Health landscapeand serves as Co-Chair of Partnership for Maternal Neonatal & Child Health (PMNCH)and a member of the Global Reference group providing strategic direction for Family Planning 2020 initiatives. He brings in a unique country perspective to the current global discourse on transition from MDGs to SDGs and is a vociferous advocate of global strategies being driven by country specific needs and contexts. He has been in the Department since July 2013.

Born in Patna, Bihar, C.K. Mishra earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History (Hons) from St. Stephens College, Delhi University. In addition to this, he has received a Post Graduate Diploma in Media Law at NALSAR, Hyderabad. He has also completed the Advanced Leadership Programme from Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), Australia.

Mr. Lov Verma In a career spanning more than 3 decades in the Indian Administrative Service, Mr Lov Verma served in various capacities in Uttar Pradesh and the Central Government, specially driving policy in the health sector. India was declared Polio free during his tenure as Union Secretary, Health and Family Welfare. Also a decision was taken to introduce three major vaccines in the child immunisation programme, potentially preventing about 100,000 infant deaths every year. As Secretary, Department of AIDS Control, he accorded in-principle approval to free treatment of third-line HIV patients. As Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, he initiated the Accessible India Campaign, which is aimed at making the built environment, transport as well as the ICT ecosystem disabled-friendly.

(HONY) BRIGADIER DR ARVIND LAL, PADMA SHRI

Brig. Arvind Lal is a pioneer in bringing laboratory services in India at par with the Western world. He is an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, having received his graduate and post-graduate medical degrees from the prestigious institute.

In 1977,Brig. Lal took charge of Dr Lal PathLabs, the medical diagnostics laboratory founded in 1949 by his late father. Under his expert guidance and leadership, Dr Lal PathLabs(LPL) has become one of the most reputed laboratories in Asia having to its credit a record of 28 labs accredited from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India) with another 4 labs in the pipeline. He brought International recognition to the Indian Healthcare Industry in the form of accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP - USA). Currently they operate over 175 labs, including Asia’s biggest lab at Rohini, New Delhi with 1,600 collection centers and pick-up samples from another 7,000 medical establishments all over India. The lab tests over 50,000 patients every day; in 2015 they tested over 12 million patients.

Dr. Lal has revolutionized laboratory medicine by introducing the maximum number of new tests, instruments and ICT (Information, Communications, Technology) systems in India. His R & D unit has done India proud by developing the latest tests in Molecular Diagnostics, Cytogenetics, Genetics and many more. The aim of the R&D division is to provide highly specialized tests at low cost to the weaker sections of the society.

Dr. Lal is a member of many expert and advisory bodies constituted by the central and the state governments. He is accredited to having the first PPP (Public Private Partnership) in the field of laboratory testing with the Govt. of Tripura since 2004 and later with Govt. of Gujarat for testing over 30,000 new born babies in 2011- 2012.

He is currently the Senior Vice President of NATHEALTH, Healthcare Federation of India. He is also the Chief of the Academic Council of IIHMR (International Institute of Health Management Research), New Delhi. Dr. Lal is also an active member of National Healthcare Committees of CII, FICCI & ASSOCCHAM and has played a significant role in promoting the Indian Healthcare sector abroad. He is also leading the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) Curriculum Development Committee for Paramedical Training in the field of Laboratory Medicine.

Dr. Lal was appointed as the Honorary Physician to the President of India in 2001. He has also been serving as a pathologist to almost all the past and present Presidents’ and Prime Ministers of India. His laboratory is the nodal laboratory testing the largest number of government employees in India from CGHS, ECHS, Ministry of Railways, Delhi Government and many others. He has been invited as the Keynote Speaker at IIM- and also by the Harvard Business School, USA.

Conferred with the Padma Shri, Brig. Lal is also the first civilian doctor to be granted an honorary Brigadier’s rank in Armed Forces Medical Services. He is also the recipient of many other awards from various national and international organizations. Dr. Lal has been conferred with the “Entrepreneur of the Year”award by All India Management Association (AIMA) in 2016.

Mr. Sushobhan Dasgupta

Mr. Sushobhan Dasgupta is the Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI) and Vice President, Orthopaedics, Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific serving as a member of the J&J Orthopaedics Global Board. A gold medalist in Business Administration from Jadavpur University and a Master of Science degree in Human Physiology from Presidency College, Kolkata, Mr. Dasgupta joined Johnson & Johnson in 1992.

Over his 23 year career with J&J, he has lived and worked in several developed and emerging markets such as USA, UK, Germany, Singapore and Australia & New Zealand. In his various roles, Mr. Dasgupta has led and delivered accelerated business growth through innovation, continuous talent and organization development. He has always been a strong proponent and advocate of business ethics and compliant business practices.

In his current role as Managing Director India he is actively engaged in helping shape the Indian healthcare environment through active participation in leading industry forums. He is theimmediate Past President of the Healthcare Federation of India (NATHEALTH), immediate Past Chairman of the FICCI Medical Devices Forum and currently Chair – Finance, Healthcare Sector Skills Council.

In addition, he is also an active member of FICCI’s National Committee on Healthcare,CII’s National Committee on Public Health and CII’s National Committee on MNCs and The American Chamber of Commerce’s (AMCHAM) Medical Devices Forum. He is a founder member of the newly formed Medical Technology Association of India (MTaI).

Mr. Dasgupta is passionate when it comes to contributing to the community. An advocate of “Operation Smile”, an international children's medical charity, that performs safe, effective cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, and delivers postoperative therapies, he recently extended his love by cooking for this noble cause and in turn raised money for Operation Smile.
