Aau National Freestyle Championships AAU NATIONAL FREESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIPS Freestyle Champions, 1889-1982 This list of national AAU Champions includes every man who ever won that title in any weight class since the organization of amateur wrestling in 1888 to date. It will be noted that the weight classes have changed at various times, usually corresponding with Olympic years, when the weight classes are made to correspond with the metric weights used in the Olympics. This step is followed by fibroblast activation and tissue construction. Sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is a lipid mediator that promotes angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and attracts immune cells. We investigated the roles of S1P in skin wound healing by altering the expression of its biogenic enzyme, sphingosine kinase-1 (SphK1). The murine excisional wound splinting model was used. / Sphingosine kinase-1 (SphK1) was highly expressed in murine wounds and that SphK1− − mice exhibit delayed wound closure along with less angiogenesis and inflammatory cell recruitment.

This short case heavily references the “old classic” HBS case on Benihana, and is intended to be used in conjunction with a simulation that helps students gain insight into how Benihana achieved its profitability. The simulation helps bring out many key operational issues, such as how variability in demand and in processing can negatively impact profitability. The case analysis goes on to show how Benihana reduces variability, and illustrates concepts such as the product-process spectrum, the impact of a bottleneck, and the advantage of simultaneous product and process engineering. Keywords: process analysis, simulation, variability, queueing. 1. Introductory Note Benihana might be thought of as an “old classic” in Operations Management. The original Harvard Business School (HBS) version was published in 1972, but the Harvard case continues to be a best seller. This short case heavily references the HBS case, number 9-673-057 (rev. Dec. 14, 1998), however what has been added to enhance the case experience is a simulation that can be used to gain insight into how the operation achieves its profitability, as compared to other restaurants. There is a set of web sites associated with this case note, intended for both students and instructors, at http://www.msb.edu/faculty/schmidtg/ Benihana_Project/. Students are directed to this web site in the case itself, in order to help them navigate the process of analyzing the case. It provides not only a link to download an animated simulation, but also provides a link to download (free of charge) a demonstration copy of the Extend software upon which the simulation is based.

Further, I have acknowledged all sources used and have cited these in the reference section. Abstract In this thesis I will examine the ways in which washoku (lit. Japanese food) has been adopted and adapted in New Zealand, by both New Zealand gastronomes and Japanese expatriates. The thesis will trace the history of well known Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, and ramen, in both their “traditional”setting and their new antipodean home. Through a series of interviews with New Zealand and Japanese consumers of washoku, this thesis will challenge established notions of what Japanese food is, and by whom it is consumed. By examining New Zealand Japanese restaurants and their owners, the thesis will demonstrate how and why Japanese food has changed and evolved. Along with other ethnic cuisine and food items it is subject to fusion and localization. This thesis explores the transformation of sushi in Victoria, BC, on the basis of an extensive survey, participant observation, and interviews with producers and consumers. The physical and symbolic transformation of sushi is analyzed both from the vantage point of business and cultural trends. It is shown that sushi became a food item different to what is known as sushi in Japan. This makes Victoria as one of the North American markets which threatens the Japanese national identity. This study thus not only reveals the local process of transformation of sushi but also shows how a food item becomes a multi-vocal symbol.
