Step 1 Be yourself, know what you like

To be your natural self, you need to trust your own abilities and focus on what you really want.

In this process, you will need to be courageous and overcome your own fears and as a result build your own confidence.

Don’t let others’ expectations and desires shape your life, but at the same time appreciate the others’ uniqueness. Let others be themselves, too.

7 Step 2 Believe in your ideas + work hard & smart TODAY

Be aware: A lack of belief in yourself will Now, as coordinators of the project, we can limit you. Consequently, keep determinate to encourage other schools from different make your idea work rather than searching for countries to follow this path. reasons why it cannot work.

Don’t get stuck into just thinking. Put ideas into practice and don’t lose hope after failing. The key is hard work and patience.

In SAFA, since long we have worked on and believed in the benefits of volunteering and learning entrepreneurship at school.

8 Step 3 Surround yourself with great people

In Entrepreneurship, great people are those who Precisely to promote synergic positivity and chase their dreams, who are doing something motivation, our project has tried to include fun positive with their life. Not complainers. in all activities.

In our global competitive world, we constantly need to interact with other cultures. Foreign languages are a big asset as they facilitate communication. And studying other languages brings other benefits, too. It increases creativity and provides new ways of seeing things.

10 Step 5 Be environmentally aware

It is can love and care for your world in a better way. the best thing we have.

Quite often, we are not aware how our actions bring terrible consequences. We need a better understanding of green issues. First of all, by taking measures in our own lives. Secondly, by promoting this knowledge around us.

In Boronów (Poland) and in Formia (Italy), we could develop our environmental awareness by planting a tree or the garbage picking on the beach.

11 Step 6 Don’t be scared to talk in Public

Both personally and professionally, not knowing Here is a nice presentation by our students how to speak in public can prevent you from while visiting our partner school in the Republic sharing your ideas or presenting solutions to of North Macedonia. problems.

Experience is the best way to overcome the anxiety that sometimes block us. On the other hand, working on your skills instead of relying just on your natural talent is what will make you an outstanding speaker.

If students start making presentations from a young age, in the future they can boost their self-assurance and achieve their goals more easily.

By helping others, you help volunteering activities in order to reinforce this yourself. important characteristic of an entrepreneur person. Our students learnt that it is not only important to live individually in this world, but also, to live with other people.

This caused an extreme increase in the number of students and the physical facilities of the school were inadequate. Spain

It was the first time SAFA school had the opportunity to be the coordinator school in an Erasmus+ project. We had just had the previous experience in Comenius and as hosts of other European schools that were interested in our innovative methodologies and had received the Erasmus+ grant. More than ten years working with and contacting other European schools helped us to design our project and find four incredible schools interested in it. Thus, when we knew that our “Entrepreneur & Volunteer Citizens” project had been accepted, we realized that we had to face an important challenge, but we also believed from the very beginning that our partner schools would support us and enrich the project with their own experiences and best engagement.

Leading this project as an English teacher has given Mrs. Núria Vila me the certainty all English teachers already know: Project coordinator & Sagrada Familia the importance of given our students rich and plural Headmistress contexts to keep them highly motivated with their English learning process. It was great to see SAFA students enjoy their short-term exchanges. Opening their minds and enriching their lives.

Leading this project as the Headmistress of Sagrada confident, strongly defend their personal initiative Familia School, our SAFA, has been an opportunity and autonomy and show their entrepreneurship in to share with other schools the values which order to take action and work for a better society, define our Educational Project. Our school has a for a better world. long tradition in Barcelona, more than 150 years dedicated to educate and help the most needed Being able to share our methods of “Learning ones. Thus, our students are used to helping and by Doing” (entrepreneurship) and “Learning by serving the others. Sometimes they just follow the Volunteering activities in their curriculums, as an instructions given by the responsible of the external essential part of their students’ learning processes, institutions, such as Hospitals, Care Houses or Social is a real success of this project, a personal Lunchroom, with which our school collaborates. 107 It was a surprised when I knew that I would go to Turkey in Erasmus. From that moment I began to feel a little restless as I don’t have much knowledge of English and it was the most important thing to meet the culture and the other people who are in this experience.

When I got there, the emotion was a feeling that accompanied me the whole journey. Meeting the other partners from schools around Europe and try to communicate with gestures was great as well as I was learning new words really fast, but what excited me the most was the meeting with the students from the school. The students wanted to share everything with their loving-charged glances, their hope, their happiness and will to live the life. It was Mercè Fernàndez really awesome for me!!

It was pity the lack of time as I had liked to come back another day to the school to share with them things and activities.

It has been a really positive and beautiful experience. I am very glad of everything.

My experience in Erasmus has been very positive, both personally and culturally. Italy was our destiny. The Italians partners were great and treat us really well. They wanted us to know everything: their region, their culture, their history and their fabulous gastronomy.

I got to know more the students and I am delighted of my new Italian friends

Teresa Elías Vilarelle

108 Personally, I have really enjoyed these two years of Erasmus + Project. It was a lot of work but at the same time so satisfying because of what we reached. For pupils it has been useful to know other cultures, life styles, so that they can love and respect them. I am sure everybody has learned a lot about volunteering and entrepreneurship and can bring all that experience in to their own lives. I feel lucky to have had this amazing chance as a teacher for which I am so grateful.

It was a pleasure for me to participate with my students in the short students exchange in Sagrada Familia School in Barcelona, Spain. 109 It was a great pleasure for me to be in your school. The visit was prepared really professionally by you. Great teachers, really involved in their work and the best headmistress in the world. I could learn a lot from you! Thanks!

Together with a colleague from work, Joanna Mikołajczak, we left for Macedonia with a group of five students from 04/02/2019 - 11/02/2019. The city where we were Prilep and the school was SOU Gjorche Petrov. At that time, we got to know the history, traditions, food, education principles, and above all, we got to know new people, exchanged experiences, and everything had to exist using English, which was a working language. Knowledge of German and Russian was also an advantage in Macedonia. We noticed that this exchange also had a very big impact on our students, they were very open to travel, they got to know the value of foreign language skills, they raised their self-esteem. I hope that in the future I will continue to work as part of Barbara Brol- the Erasmus Plus program, to be able to get to know other countries and motivate my students to learn Kapica & Joanna foreign languages. The Erasmus+ projects are great experience for both the students and the teachers. As the motto of the program says - “Changing lives. Opening minds”, this really happens to every person who has a chance to be part of the program.

It is an extraordinary opportunity to meet new people, to visit new places, to find out about their way of life, their culture, tradition, food. During the project lifetime, with the meetings in person, but also communicating online, we all became close, like a family. That is the reason why, any time after a meeting, it was very difficult to say good to each other. This Erasmus+ project succeeded to broaden Elizabeta our horizon, but also to change our point of view. We found out how to respect the other Milosheska people no matter of their name, origin, skin Republic of North Macedonian color, religion, because, we are all different, but Coordinator yet the same, since we are all human.

Our topic – Entrepreneur and volunteer citizens was an excellent opportunity to show our entrepreneurial ability, especially referring to the students, but also to show how human we are during the volunteering activities. We all hope that what we learnt from the topic and the project activities will be of extraordinary importance and find use in our lives.

111 Participation in this project for me means getting unforgettable experiences, memories and friendships that remain forever. The idea how to organize the meetings offers opportunities for developing organizational and communication skills. This refers not only for the students, but also for the students. Visits allow us to learn about the national and cultural identity of the hosts, their customs and tradition, the mentality as well as the ethnic norms. The experiences that are exchanged, broaden the horizon and the view of the participants in this project. They teach us how to respect diversity and how to appreciate everyone.

As for the benefits of this topic, I have to mention Biljana Tintoska the positive impact it has on the students, but also on the teachers. The topic of this project encourages values- humane and ethic. It encourages every person to empathy, taking care of the other people’s feelings and the need to help those who need it. It’s solid experience for our students who are preparing to be medical staff, but also for us, because our work and attention is always directed towards the other people.

I feel a special need to thank to all our friends from the partner countries for the mutual experiences and memories, for the hospitality, kindness and friendships - they will remain with us as a lasting benefit of the project.

I’m particularly pleased to be part of this project and to meet persons such as our friends.

I love travelling and discovering new places and cultures, but my previous experiences have never been as intense and interesting as the one experienced with the Erasmus Entrepeneurship & Volunteer citizens project. This was my first Erasmus experience and at the beginning I found myself involved in it nearly by chance, going with my colleague Salvatore my predecessor. I was sure it would be an interesting experience but it turned out to be much more. Each trip happened to be an important moment for our students, who at the beginning were slightly puzzled, having to be hosted by other students they had never met before, but afterwards they discovered to have a lot of things in common, they shared many experiences together and at the end even shed some tears. Erasmus has Paola Pensavecchia given a lot to me and my colleagues who worked with Italian Coordinator me too. It gave me the occasion to meet extraordinary people who made me discover fantastic places, new costumes and new and different ways to face and solve problems. We have established a friendship in our group that made us feel at home even when far from our own countries. And at the end saying GOODBYE was really very difficult.

Hello Dear Erasmus Plus Family.

As you know, we started this project in Barcelona in December 2017.I have done 2 Erasmus projects before but this project was completely different with you.I met many beautiful people and had very good friendships .We have had beautiful surprises and wonderful moments in each country we visit. Of course, I will never forget some moments such as the sending off of our friends on the return of Macedonia.I was very happy .The best thing about this project for me is that I started learning English. My words are not enough to describe this project. Thank you all for everything and I love you all so much .Wishing to remember and not forget for lifetime.Take care of yourself. Hello ! I’m Serpil KARA. This project is a fantastic experience for both me and my students. Thanks to this project, we had the opportunity to go abroad for the first time. The project personally added to me a lot. To see the different education systems and student profiles with the contributions of the project and find the opportunity to compare with my country was good in terms of my profession. The purpose and name of our project is very meaningful. It was very important for me that the five countries with different lives came together under the name of volunteering and entrepreneurship, and thus they built beautiful bridges.

It also opened different horizons to students who Serpil Kara see different cultures, religions, dishes. Thanks to this project, it is important for my students to open Turkish coordinator up to different worlds and reflect it to their lives. At the same time, even the shyest students were socialized. All our partners throughout the project were so hospitable and warm that I will never forget this amazing experience and friendship. ENDLESS THANKS FOR EVERYTHING YOU ADD TO ME ENTREPRENEUR AND VOLUNTEER CITIZENS. 114 Hi, I’m Gizem Toptaş. First of all, I want to talk about our school and our student profile. Our school is a small village school in Ovaören village with a population of 646, 40 km away from Gülşehir district of Nevşehir province. The economic conditions of the peasants, who make their living by agriculture and animal husbandry, are very bad. So, our level of education is also low. As teachers working in this school, we are trying to offer as much opportunities as possible for the development of the region.

With this project, we aim to start the entrepreneurial spirit in our children. This is the biggest “entrepreneurship “by our children who can go abroad by participating in the project.

In addition, within the scope of this project, our Gizem Toptas students visited the old houses and planned to do spring cleaning and distribute food and clothing packages for those in need.

This is the second time I’ve done an exchange with the project of Erasmus + and I still being the happiest person to have done it again because every time it’s a new experience, you learn about new cultures, you meet people, you improve your English skills and the most beautiful it’s all the activities that we made for helping people.

The best point of doing an exchange it’s that you’ve to adapt yourself in a country completely different as yours.

My experience in Poland, personally was very exciting and fun. The activities that we did, like riding a horse, doing a gymkhana around the town ... I just loved it.

The food was very good, it did not change too much, we ate only soup with chicken and potatoes, but I liked. The family welcomed me very kindly, and there were no uncomfortable moments.

At school they looked at us a lot but when we started talking to them they were very nice and open, they got very fast confidence.

There were beautiful landscapes and a very cold Marcel climate but I fell in love with Poland.

117 Going to Poland was a beautiful experience. I liked all the activities and visits we made. Everybody was nice, treat me like another one of their friends and made me feel the most comfortable person. I really recommend it I would go again if I could.

For me Erasmus was an Unique experience that only happens one time in life. I get a lot of fun, I made a lot of new friends and I could get some stuff and culture from every single place I went.

If I could go again, I would do it for sure.

We will always remember this exchange of students in Italy. First we visited Pompeii and Naples, second we had a lot of workshops. We cleaned the beach in Formia, we made jewellery. We met a lot of great people and made a lot of friends. In addition, we were hosted by the most wonderful family - the Macari. We were treated as a part of the family. We will miss everyone we met and we believe that one day we will be back there.

I spent a wonderful week in Prilep, Macedonia. It was very nice because I was hosted by a nuclear family! I could feel like in Poland. In my country there are many houses where three generations live together: grandparents, parents and children. It was the first time when I could spend time abroad without my parents but didn’t feel lonely! My host family did the best to organize my time, show me the beauty of Prilep and let me know the interesting culture of their country. It was very sad to come back home but I could take my memories with me – they are priceless!

Barcelona is a Catalonian queen of the Mediterranean, a beautiful city with splendid beauty. I dreamed of visiting this city. It’s wonderful when you live your dream for seven days. This wonderful city has exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived at the airport, I felt charm and magic as a result of the meeting with the family where I was housed. I was happy to stay in a wonderful Catholic family - people open, cheerful and hospitable. The initial insecurity and anxiety disappeared for a moment when I saw the smiling faces of my hosts. The magic of this city has been revealing every day. Gaudí’s beautiful architecture and wonders gave me a special impression. I was shocked by the magnificent cathedral “La Sagrada Familia” - a beautiful building that inspires with interior and exterior beauty. I have no doubt that Barcelona is beautiful in all seasons, but in April it was definitely magical. April 23th in Barcelona is a day of roses and books, this day men give roses to women and women give books Mila to men, we visited the house of roses - a beautiful building that is covered with roses. The magic of playfulness of colors and shapes, people who walk in different directions, young people sitting in a café and enjoying laid-back conversations, I experienced walking through the square of La Rambla. One day I enjoyed the beach in Barcelona - which was named the third best beach in the world. This city with tradition is actually a modern, dynamic city with abundance of parks and fountains, but also many modern buildings and shopping centers. Within the project, we had the opportunity to visit the Design Museum - a beautiful contemporary museum that captivates with its innovation and the opportunity to find something that will attract your attention. The visit to the Montjuic fortress gave us a panoramic view of Barcelona, the view impresses and leaves you breathless. Seven days in Barcelona I was in a dream. I left Barcelona with unforgettable, beautiful memories.

121 Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. When I was notified that I will travel to this beautiful city and I will have the opportunity to get to know more not only about his wonderful culture, mediterranean climate, but about people who live there. There was no end to my happiness and excitement. As time passed by, and the day of our departure approached, the excitement grew in me. For me, everything was new starting from the flight from Sofia to Barcelona and meeting with the hosts of the airport, mixed feelings, hidden smiles and uncertainty. The warm welcome of the family calmed my trembling and from there began my unforgettable adventure. For Barcelona it is said that is city that never sleeps and that is really true, Maja we got there in the evening so I had the opportunity to get to know the fun of the young people. Also we had the opportunity to attend the celebration of the national holiday- St George the Victorious or as they are calling it “Holiday of the books and roses”. It is on April 23th, the day when men give roses to women, and they return with books. This city has a rich history and tradition. There are many long sandy beaches, and we had the opportunity to visit one of them. Unforgettable was the visit to one of the most beautiful cathedrals- Sagrada Familia, work of the famous architect Antonio Gaudí. Barcelona is a modern city with many museums. The design museum is different from the classical museums, it is innovative, unusual and interesting. Not everyone when they visit Barcelona are considering visiting the Resident Center, but with this project we had the opportunity to visit the “Resident Center” and got to know the care and attention to the elderly. I must mention the hospitality and kindness of the people in this city. You can see a smile on their faces, and the living temper makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I realized that the words of our hosts “ 7 days are not enough to know this city” are true. We left Barcelona with full emotions and great experiences that will stay forever in our memories.

122 Every country and every city has its own energy and that’s why every trip is different and special wherever you go. I had the chance to travel to Barcelona, meet new people and explore the city, we did activities in the school with the other kids we also did some volunteering and we had activities outside the school exploring and we visited landmarks like the church La Sagrada Familia and the Montjuïc Castle. But I think the most important thing is being able to stay with a host family and experience their day to day life, their school and lifestyle and all the friendships that were formed and all the unforgettable memories we had together. My name is Salvatore and I am an Italian student. In February of this year I participated at the Erasmus project and I went to Republic of Macedonia. It was a unique experience, I had the chance to visit a country that is still unknown to me, even though it is very close to mine. I was able to admire the beauties of the capital Skopje and other cities like Prilep and Ohrid. I think that I will not forget the days spent together with Macedonian, Spanish, Turkish and Polish students, together we shared experiences and emotions that strengthened our cultural background. Remembering those moments, I feel a lot of longing, also because I got to know a special guy Stefan and his wonderful family who welcomed me as if I was one of them. Thank you very much to my head teacher and teacher Paola Pensavecchia Salvatore for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

I went to Poland, a small but very trich country. By «rich» it does not mean much money but with a beautiful culture, places to visit and in particular full of beautiful people. When me and my school friends went to Poland we visited Boronow and its school and at last, the local places. However, I (and so all my travell friends) can say that we founded good, funny and very special friends. We were very well received by host families and by school, we felt at home. Despite all small problems, this travel in Poland was a great and special experience which made us more mature and that we will never forget.
