The 30th annual A Night at the Lied academic awards ceremony was held in a virtual setting in April The mission of the University of Nebraska Athletic 2020, following the worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus. In December of 2019, Anton Stephenson (back cover) was named NU’s nation-leading 18th NCAA Today’s Top Ten Award winner. Stephenson was a four-time Scheuler. All-American for the Husker men’s gymnastics program and a CoSIDA Academic All-American. 2019-20 NEBRASKA ATHLETICS 2 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: HIGHLIGHTING THE HUSKERS = Husker student-athletes across all sports posted a record 3.331 cumulative GPA in the spring of 2020. = Across all sports, Nebraska posted a program-best 93 percent Graduation Success Rate. = An impressive group of 133 Husker student-athletes earned their ANGELA MERCURIO TRACK & FIELD degrees in December 2019, May 2020 or August 2020. BIOCHEMISTRY/ = A record total of 294 Nebraska student-athletes earned Academic WOMEN’S & GENDER STUDIES All-Big Ten recognition in 2019-20. KITCHENER, ONTARIO, CANADA NCAA WOMAN OF THE YEAR (2019) = A record 872 student-athletes were honored on the Nebraska NCAA POSTGRADUATE SCHOLAR Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 THREE-TIME ALL-AMERICAN semesters for earning a 3.000 or better term GPA. = Husker student-athletes combined for a record 156 perfect 4.000 GPA semesters. = A record total of 100 Nebraska letterwinners were named Big Ten Distinguished
