The Avs’ five markers in 3:27 is the fastest five scored by any NHL team Second Star since the Rangers did it in 2:58 on April 19, 2013 at Buffalo. Gabriel Landeskog 3 points (2g/1a) With tonight’s win, the Avalanche its franchise record for the fewest number of games to reach 50 points in a season (35). The 2000-01 Avalanche and 1994-95 Nordiques also reached 50 points in their 35th contest. Third Star Colorado is the fourth team in the NHL and first in the Honda West Division to reach 50 points this season. Mikko Rantanen 3 points (1g/2a) Tonight is the third time this season that the Avs have scored eight or more goals in a game, the only team in the league that has scored 8+ goals three times in 2020-21. The Rangers have done it twice and the once. Colorado joins New York as the only teams to have scored nine in a game this cam- paign. INDIVIDUAL NOTES Joonas Donskoi’s hat trick in a 3:27 span is the second fastest in franchise history. Quebec’s Alain Cote scored three goals in 2:17 on April 1, 1982 at Boston. Donskoi completed his hat trick 7:31 into the opening period, the fastest hat trick from the start of a game in franchise history. Donskoi’s hat trick was the second of his career (also: Nov. 7, 2019 vs. Nashville) and his four points tonight equals his career best (Nov. 30, 2019 vs. Chicago). He now has 15 goals this season, ranked second on the team and one shy of matching his career best set last campaign. Over the last 10 games, Donskoi has collected 15 points (9g/6a) and his nine goals in that span are a team-high.

Mikko Rantanen recorded three points (1g/2a), his seventh multi-point game of March. He finishes the month ranked first in the league in points (25) and goals (13). His 13 tallies are the second-most by an Avalanche player in a single month (Joe Sakic, 15 points, March 2000) since the team moved to Denver.

Gabriel Landeskog finished with three points (2g/1a) and has totaled 17 points (7g/10a) over his last 10 games. Landeskog produced 24 points (10g/14a) in the month of March, the second-most points in the league and tied for the third-most goals for the month.

Nathan MacKinnon tallied two assists and finished the month with 20 points (5g/15a). His 15 assists were tied for third in the league for March.

Philipp Grubauer earned his league-leading 22nd win of the season and extended his franchise record for wins in a month to 12. With tonight’s win, he equaled the NHL record for wins in a month (12) shared by Sergei Bobrovsky (Dec. 2016), Jimmy Howard (March 2010), Ray Emery (March 2006), (March 1974).

J.T. Compher registered an assist to pick up his 100th career point.

Devon Toews was a +3 on the night and now has a +20 rating this season, tied for third in the NHL.
