2016 PLAYOFFS: The Cavaliers opened up their 20th playoff appearance on April 17 against Detroit. The Cavs swept the Pistons, 4-0, in the First Round to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the 10th time in franchise history. They followed that up with a 4-0 sweep over Atlanta to get to the Eastern Conference Finals for the 6th time ever. Cleveland is 92-84 all-time in the postseason (8-0 in 2016), including 58-30 at home. Since 2006, the Cavs are 37-12 during the playoffs at Quicken Loans Arena.

Canton Charge forward Nick Minnerath and guard Quinn Cook were recognized by the NBA Development League with honors for their play during the 2015-16 season. Minnerath was named Second Team All-NBA D-League, while Cook was named to the League’s Third Team as well as First Team All-Rookie. Minnerath played in 49 games (10 starts) and was second on the team in scoring, averaging 18.5 points on .508 shooting and 6.9 rebounds in 29.9 minutes per game. He helped Canton tie a franchise record 31 wins this season after arriving as an affiliate player from the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 17.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in four playoff games after posting a team-high 10 double-doubles in the regular season. Cook played in 43 games (37 starts) and led Canton in scoring with 19.6 points on .466 shooting with 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 33.7 minutes per game. The NBA D-League Rookie of the Year improved his averages in the postseason to 23.5 points on .514 shooting with 7.3 assists. 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 36.5 minutes per game. ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs sold out all 41 regular season home games in 2015-16, the third time in franchise history the team has accomplished that feat (2009-10 and 2014-15). To date, including regular season (381) and playoffs (49), there have been 430 sellouts at The Q and 96 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).

 The Cavs opened the 2015-16 season at Quicken Loans Arena on Oct. 30 against the , which was their 11th straight home opener sellout.  Cleveland also filled up the arena in all 10 home games during the 2015 Playoffs.  The team’s 400th sellout (regular + post) at The Q came on Jan. 2, 2016 against Orlando.

JAMES JONES NAMED RECIPIENT OF AUSTIN CARR GOOD GUY AWARD: CLEVELAND, OH - April 12, 2016 - Cavaliers forward James Jones is the recipient of the 11th annual Austin Carr Good Guy Award, presented by the local chapter of the Pro Writers Association (PBWA). The award, named after Cavaliers legend Austin Carr, is designed to recognize a Cavaliers player who is cooperative and understanding of the media. Jones, 35, is in his second year with the Cavaliers. He has appeared in 47 games this season, averaging 3.6 points while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. A second-round pick of the Indiana Pacers in 2003, Jones also serves as the secretary-treasurer for the NBA Players Association.

Carr, who played nine seasons with the Cavaliers, was the No. 1 pick of the 1971 NBA Draft by Cleveland and was selected by 32 members of the media in Northeast Ohio to the Cavaliers All-Time Starting Five during the Cavaliers 30th anniversary season in 1999-2000. He is now the television analyst for FOX Sports Ohio and the team's Director of Community and Business Development. The award, which is presented annually, was voted upon by the local writers in Cleveland's chapter of the Pro Basketball Writers Association.

Proceeds from watch parties in the first two rounds were collected for The Centers for Families and Children, City Year Cleveland and Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center. Through tickets to last year’s NBA Finals watch parties at The Q, the Cavs and their fans were able to donate more than $260,000 to two great area organizations: Shoes and Clothes for Kids and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank each received more than $130,000.

IMPORTANT: In compliance with guidelines set by the City of Cleveland and in compliance with an established local curfew ordinance, the Cavaliers will adhere to city ordinances and require that all guests 17 and under attending the watch party to be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
