This report was published in coordination with BSI and the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS). NaVCIS is a United Kingdom police unit that utilizes vehicle criminal intelligence from regional U.K. police forces and European law enforcement agencies to track criminal trends and produce effective resource solutions. BSI recorded a total of 388 cargo theft incidents in the United Kingdom during the second quarter of 2017. Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and saw the highest rates of cargo theft incidents during this period, followed by Essex and Nottinghamshire.
