Stan Huntsman – 1988 Olympic Coach Inducted into USATF Hall of Fame: 2004, coach In a 39-year career as a collegiate head coach, Stan Huntsman compiled 46 conference championships during his tenures at Ohio University (14 years), University of Tennessee (15 years) and the University of Texas (10 years). He coached 41 NCAA champions and four national champion relay squads, and led Tennessee to two NCAA team championships (1972 cross country, 1974 outdoors). Huntsman earned NCAA National Coach of the Year honors six times during his tenure with the Volunteers, with those honors coming in outdoor track (1974-76-83), indoor track (1981-82) and cross country (1972). Huntsman coached American record holder and Olympian Doug Brown, and NCAA champion, U.S. champion, World Cup champion, and 1992 Olympian David Patrick among others. Huntsman also enjoyed a successful international coaching career, serving as the head USA coach for the 1988 , 1983 World Championships and 1977 World Cup. He served as an assistant coach at the 1976 and 1980 Olympic Games. Tony Holler - Plainfield North High School (IL) Head Track Coach Tony Holler’s Harrisburg High School track teams won three state championships and eight state trophies. In an amazing 10-year span from 1995 until 2004, his teams won seven IHSA trophies. Holler coached 8 individual state champions and 7 relay state champions. In 2004 Tony Holler left Harrisburg for a two-year stint at Franklin High School in the Nashville, Tennessee area. In 2004, Franklin had a track team consisting of only eight boys. In 2006, Holler’s track team finished the year with 72 participants and finished 12th in the state. In 2006 Tony Holler became the first head coach at Plainfield North High School where his team won a conference title with North’s first-ever senior class in 2008. Speed is the focus of track teams coached by Tony Holler. Holler’s Harrisburg teams dominated the relays at the state meet. Harrisburg 4x1 teams brought home gold medals in 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003. Since 1999, Holler’s teams (at three different schools) have run sub-43 in the 4x1 eleven times. Dr. Jason D. Russell, DC, CGFI, ACE He received his B.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University and his Doctorate degree from National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Russell lectures regularly on the treatment and prevention of athletic injuries, and on speed development in athletes.

Lonnie Greene – Head Coach – Purdue Rolando Greene was named the head coach of the Purdue men's and women's track and field and cross country teams on July 3, 2012. Greene came to Purdue from the University of Arkansas where he worked with the women's program for 16 seasons. Most recently, he was the associate head coach in charge of sprints, hurdles, horizontal jumps and multi events. He was named the USTFCCCA South Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2012.

In his first year with the Boilermaker track and field and cross country programs, the Boilermakers saw improvement across the board. Under Greene's direction, the men's cross country team qualified two freshmen as individuals for the NCAA Championships. It is the first time that any program has had two freshmen qualify as individuals in the same year since the early 1970s. Matthew McClintock was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was first team all-conference as a rookie. McClintock was also named the Big Ten Runner of the Week two times in 2012.

Chris Huffins – Purdue University Chris Huffins came to Purdue as the jumps and multi-events coach after spending a year at Clemson where he was an assistant coach. There, he helped coach seven ACC champions in events including the , weight throw, 400m dash and the 4x400m relay. While at Clemson, Huffins helped individuals break the men's high jump school record, the women's school and ACC record in the weight throw and the women's team to a top-10 finish in indoor and outdoor seasons. Prior to his stint at Clemson, Huffins spent a year as an assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma. With the Sooners, he helped coach several All-Big 12 performers and helped Ti'Anca Mock finish top 10 at the NCAA Championships. Huffins also had one year stints at Eastern Michigan and Boise State where he was the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at both schools. With the Eagles and Broncos, Huffins coached one national champion, one junior national champion, five All-Americans, 12 conference champions, five school records, two individuals to the Greek Championships, as well as helping bring in a top-ranked recruiting class in program history. Huffins longest coaching stop was at Cal, as he was with the Golden Bears from 2002 to 2007 serving as the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country. Under his direction, the men's and women's teams finished top 20 at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships, including the women's eighth-place finish. Huffins brought in three recruiting classes that were ranked in the top five nationally by Track & Field News, including one individual that went on to be the school's first NCAA Champion in almost two decades. He coached 23 All-Americans and mentored individuals to school records in 14 events. Chris was the bronze medalist in the 2000 Olympic .

Bob Nihells - Lake Park HS, IL The 2011 Gill Athletics National coach of the year, Nihells has coached track and field in Illinois for over 30 years and is widely considered one of the top HS throws coach in the country. Passionate and energetic, Nihells has led his Lake Park High School teams to multiple state championships.

Ben Bishop – Lake Park, IL Ben is beginning his first year at Lake Park but has been with Edwardsville high school the last three years. In that short amount of time Ben’s female athletes already own the Illinois all‐time discus throw, farthest indoor shot put, and IHSA outdoor state record shot put.

Randy Ziraldo – University of Indianapolis Randy has continued to develop throwers at Univ of Indianapolis from mid-level throwers to national caliber throwers.

Doug Edgar – Indiana Tech Doug Edgar is entering his fourth year as the head track and field coach at Indiana Tech. He spent the previous two seasons as the assistant coach where he worked with the sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers. Coach Edgar is USATF level 2 certified in the sprints, hurdles, relays and was recently named an Emerging Elite coach by USA Track and Field. This distinction gained him a scholarship to a weeklong camp at the USA Olympic Training center in Chula Vista, California. During Edgar’s four years at Indiana Tech, the program has become one of the best in the nation. Coach Edgar has coached 87 individual and 17 relay NAIA All-Americans, over 190 national qualifier, multiple NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and 91 WHAC conference champions. The 2013 season was a banner year for the program as both the men’s and women’s program won the outdoor National Championship. The two titles were not only the first in the history of the program, but the first titles in the history of Indiana Tech. During the indoor season the women would finish as national runner-up, while the men would finish in 3rd place. At the conference level, the women have won six straight WHAC titles, while the men captured the indoor and outdoor titles this past season. In 2013, the Warriors saw national champions in the 4x100 (men and women), 4x400 (women-indoor and outdoor), Adella King (100 and 200), Kirsten Flake (400), Zalika Dixon (400h), and Jeslyn Zimmerly (Pole Vault).

David Emeott – Kentwood, MI Track and Field -Head Coach East Kentwood High School 10 years (average 125 boys per season) -8 MITCA team state titles - 2 MHSAA team runner-ups - 4 MHSAA team championships (2010 scored 92 points) - New Balance Outdoor national champions 2010(club name - KP athletics) -Nike Team Nationals qualifier 2010 Pole Vaulting -20 years coaching experience(17 at EK) -14 boys over 14’and 4 boys over 15’ -7 girls over 11’ and 3 girls over 12’ - Host the Grand Haven Beach vault (World’s Largest Outdoor Pole Vault Contest) Speed Training - Coach all off-season speed and agility training for East Kentwood High School - Average 100+ athletes twice per week from all sports during the Fall and Winter - East Kentwood’s track team has become one of the top Sprint programs in the country in 2010 EK ran 41.17 in the 4x100 while representing the entire state of Michigan at the Midwest meet of Champions.

Mark Ellington – Carmel Mark has done a wonderful job at Carmel with the girls’ program. He has helped elevate Carmel girls to one of the best cross country teams in the nation for the last few years. Their track program is laden with depth and talent.

Brandon Bangel – Whiteland Coach Bangel began his athletic career as a distance runner and swimmer at Decatur Central High School. He qualified for the state finals in the 800 meter run in 2000 and in swimming in 2001. After high school he attended the University of Indianapolis was he was converted into a decathlete. He was a 4 year letter winner for the Greyhounds and the GLVC conference champion in the decathlon in both 2005 and 2006. After graduating from college Coach Bangel spent his first year teaching in Wayne Township and coaching hurdlers at Ben Davis High School. He was then given the opportunity to take over as the boys head track coach at Whiteland Community High School and has remained there over the past 6 years. During his time at Whiteland Coach Bangel has continued to build a competitive track program with multiple individuals qualifying for the state finals in a variety of events. He has had a total of 5 individuals qualify for state and two relay teams. Two of these athletes have earned All-State honors and been named to the Indiana All- Star team. In 2011 Coach Bangel also took over the girls program that has improved dramatically since he has taken over. In this 3 year time frame the girls team has won two conference titles, 10 school records have been broken, 3 athletes have qualified for state, and one has been named an Indiana All-Star.

Jeff Balmer - Crawford County Boys Track and Field Coach Jeff is in his 31st year of coaching, returning to his alma mater where participation in track has grown 400% in his time there. Jeff has unique abilities to relate and understand his athletes by instructing students on becoming athletes and to further their abilities in reaching each young person’s potential. Jeff thrives in beating the bushes and developing a program with limited resources. The proof of Jeff's abilities is that he has been successful at different levels and schools where his teams have won various championships. The athletes respect and hold Jeff in high regards as a coach and mentor.

Sandy Sampson – SB St. Joseph Sandy competed at Arizona State and was PAC-10 champion in the discus and competed in the Olympic Trials in 2004. Sandy works at the Kroc Center in South Bend, coaches at St. Joseph H.S. and is a certified personal trainer. Her strong points are discus technique and training, along with the Olympic lifts.

Derek Leininger – FW Snider Derek Leininger has coached cross country and track & field at Snider High School in Fort Wayne for the past 8 years. During that time Snider has had three state-qualifying teams in cross country and the boys and girls track teams have finished in the top 10 at the state meet 6 times. He has coached multiple state medalists in mid-distance and distance events, including one state champion and four state runners-up.

Zach Raber – Trine University Coach Raber was named the Men’s Cross-Country coach during the 2013 season after spending 11 years as a high school coach in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As the Men’s and Women’s coach at Carroll High School, Raber led the Chargers men to five Sectional titles, five Regional titles, and two Semi-State titles. During that time, Carroll’s boys finished 2nd at the Indiana State Championship twice. On the women’s side, Raber went undefeated in sectional and regional championships, tallying 11 consecutive titles at both meets. The Lady Chargers also won four Semi-State titles and finished in the top five at the Indiana State Championship three times. Both of the Carroll cross-country teams were ranked in the top-50 nationally throughout Raber’s tenure. Individually, Raber has helped 25 athletes to All-State finishes in the state of Indiana for both track and cross-country, including three state champions. On the national level, Raber coached 10 All-American’s, ranging from cross-country to the track. In 2013, his boys 3200m relay team won the New Balance National Outdoor Championship after earning All-American status the previous season. Through 11 seasons at Carroll High School, numerous athletes under Raber’s guidance have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. An 11-time nominee for Indiana Cross-Country Coach of the Year, Raber won the award for boy’s cross-country in 2012.
