We are creatures of light, so it is an especial pleasure to be able to go out and enjoy the sunshine, wake up in daylight and delight in the gradual sunsets and long period of twilight that follows late into the evening. It is important to remember Jesus at this time of year, not just because Pentecost (Whit) and Trinity fall in June, but because his ministry was all about bringing light into dark places.

At the time of writing we have found ourselves in harsher measures as we try to combat Covid 19. Along with these restrictions our local businesses have once again been forced into extremely tough times for trading - and once again they are doing all they can to adapt and serve our community. We continue to support them all as much as possible. The same must also be said for our school children, sixth form/college students and teaching staff who are all trying their utmost to continue to learn and teach against a particularly turbulent backdrop. This issue comes in the month of St Valentine so we are spreading the love in this edition by featuring plenty of hearts and roses throughout - we hope it cheers you all a little ♥ There are also plenty of interesting reports to read through and digest, amongst them being the updates from the local councils and an interview conducted by Steve Colella with Mita Barnes of Hagley WI (on page 12). As we all work together to support each other we also remember those no longer with us.
