Cathedral College A school of The Anglican Schools Commission (Inc.)

Bus Information

Students at Cathedral College Wangaratta are able to access the Government Regional Bus System to get to school. The majority of students will have free travel whilst some may have to pay a fare.

Fare payers are: • Students who live closer to another Independent School but attend Cathedral College. These families are invoiced via the Regional Bus Coordinator at the Wangaratta High School and must fill out an Application for Permission to Travel – Fare paying Students

• Students who catch the two Town Buses and live within a 4.8 klm radius of Cathedral College. Students can pay the Bus Driver when they get on the bus.

• Students who get on the Fallons Wangaratta Private Charter from Benalla and Bright. These families are invoiced each term by Cathedral College Wangaratta with your fees.

All students must fill out an Application for Permission to Travel – Eligible Students, or Application for Permission to Travel – Fare paying Students. Students and Parents are to read the Conditions of Travel and sign that they will comply with them.

Bus Passes for the Shuttle Buses to the High School Interchange

On the first day of the school year, each student travelling on a school bus will be designated a coloured bus pass for the shuttle bus they will be allocated to travel on over to the Wangaratta High School to get onto their connecting regional government bus.

Students will be required to present these passes when boarding buses at Cathedral College. As per the Conditions of Travel signed by all bus travellers, students must only travel on the shuttle bus service allocated to them, to and from their approved bus stop only. There is currently no scope to change to another bus on the school bus system. If there is a change in address or situation, you may request a new bus pass by contacting Mrs Fran Hoyle.

Various bus lines

Students travelling on the Carboor, Cheshunt, Meadow Creek/Oxley, Edi Upper, and Myrrhee buses will be dropped off directly at Cathedral College Wangaratta in the morning, and in the afternoon will be picked up by these buses on the way out of town. Happily, these students will not be required to go to the interchange at the High School.

There will be six shuttle buses to and from the interchange at Wangaratta High School. They will be called the Reiths Estate, Eldorado, Hamilton Park, Greta South, Springhurst and Beechworth Shuttle buses, and students will be allocated seats depending on which connecting bus they will be getting on at the High School.

Students travelling from Reiths Estate, Springhurst, Beechworth, Hamilton Park, Eldorado and Greta South will remain on their bus when they arrive at the High School and they will be shuttled out to Cathedral College. In the afternoon they will be required to get on their allocated shuttle bus.

Town Buses

All students living in Wangaratta do not have access to the Shuttle buses from the High School to Murdoch Road and return, as these buses are for the use of country bus travellers. For Wangaratta Students there is one Town bus in the morning and two Town buses in the afternoon. A copy of the bus timetables are below
