INVC NEWS New Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today called upon the Central Government to sanction the ﬁnancial allocations (share) of the States on time. He said that if the Union Government releases the States' share of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan on time it will be of great help to them. He was deliberating at the Standing Committee 12th sitting on the Punchhi Committee recommendations at the Inter-Sate Council meet in New Delhi. Union Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh presided over the meeting. Union Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley, Rajasthan Chief Minister Mrs. Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Odisha Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik, Tripura Chief Minister Mr. Manik Sarkar, Union Cabinet Ministers and State Cabinet Ministers were also present.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that poor states should get large financial outlays in which huge investments are required. This will benefit in all-round development of the weaker states. He appreciated the constitution of Niti Ayog which is going to States and holding deliberations on the ground realities / requirements much to the betterment of the developing states. This is a positive development. Dr. Raman Singh thanked the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for encouraging co-operative federalism and boosting the states' coffers. He highlighted the increase of States' shares in Central revenues from 32 per to 42 per cent, implementation of G.S.T. , New Minerals' policy, Niti Ayog had helped in development of healthy relationship of Centre-States. He thanked the Central Government for allocating additional financial outlays to the Scheduled / Notified areas. While referring to the 'Jan-Dhan' Yojana he said that it had yielded in Direct Benefit Transfers to the consumers. Chief Minister said that to make it more effective more bank branches should be opened in Left-Wing Extremism affected States. Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Officer on Special Duty Mr. Vikram Sisodiya and several senior officers were also present.
