This data gives detailed race information for the total population and voting age population down to the block level. Future products releases will give more insight in other demographic changes. The major conclusions: New York State gained just over 400,000 people during the decade, a growth of 2.1%. During the 90’s the State population gained 5.5%, meaning we saw a slow-down in the growth of the total population. This growth fell far behind the growth of the total U.S. population of 9.7%.
