Dr. Mark Williams, native of Cincinnati, OH, is a songwriter, psalmist and a board-certified Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat Physician) who has penned a new worship project Everything and is proving to be an example of multi-faceted gifting, diligence and persistence.

Employing the talents and the ingenious orchestrations of award winning Contemporary Christian and Gospel music producer Roger Ryan (CeCe Winans, Take 6, Mandisa) and the innovative styling’s of Gospel’s rising super producer Daniel Weatherspoon (Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond, Darwin Hobbs), Williams and his team of producers have captured the essence of true worship that is engaging audiences in a powerful, pure worship experience.

The high-spirited first single “The King of Glory” is a praise anthem with an unwavering message of God’s dominion and power of the earth. “Awesome God” reveals Williams’ passionate worshipful writing style conveyed elegantly with soothing, alluring vocals. Williams displays his diverse musicality with the jazz-infused title cut “Everything”.

Guest vocalists on Everything include the new and highly sought after psalmist Joel Buckner -“Reigning King”; young powerhouse vocalist Kyla Jade -“Don’t Worry”; and Stellar Award New Artist of the Year nominee Terrell Hunt - “Fill Me Lord”.

Williams has two previous independent projects under his belt and with each project he redefines his skill while delivering a new level of excel- lence. “My definition of excellence is that place where skill and anoint- ing meet,” explains Williams. “Having access to excellent producers and singers, along with excellent songwriting and my heart for worship, is a guaranteed success.” Everything is a true reflection of Williams’ strong desire for a fresh new season in the body of Christ.

As a songwriter, his writing process sometimes comes during times of bible study when a passage of scripture speaks to a familiar or current circumstance, but lyrics often come in time of sleep. “Songs come to me as heavenly melodies that I hear in my sleep which is bitter-sweet to me,” tells Williams. “Sweet because it is so refreshing and invigorating to get a glimpse of heavenly worship, bitter because no matter how dili- gent I am to record the song, our earthly limitations prevent the exact reproduction of the heavenly sound that I experience during sleep.” This process keeps Williams attentive and receptive as to when the Lord will drop a sweet melody in his spirit.

Williams wants people to be drawn into a state of unmotivated worship while listening to Everything. To be motivated means to be provided with a motive or given incentive for action. “Too often we denigrate our worship by attaching a request of God,” instructs Williams. “While God is not threatened by our requests, there are mechanisms by which we are to make these requests known to him - through prayer and supplication, not via our worship.” Williams continues, “Blessings are always the byproduct of accept- able worship, but should never become the impetus for it. I hope as people listen to my CD that their worship will remain enthusiastic and heart-felt while transcending to being unmotivated.”

Dr. Williams is a board ‐certified Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat Physician) who recently relocated to Nashville, TN where he opened his surgical practice, Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists of Nashville . In addition to his establishing his private surgical practice on the campus of Southern Hills Medical Center, he is also an adjunct assistant professor at Meharry Medical College and founded the Voice Care Center of Nashville , where he specializes in treating and preventing voice problems in Christian and Gospel music artists. As an independent gospel recording artist himself, Dr. Williams has a keen insight to not only the medical and surgical implications of voice disturbances, but also the many spiritual impacts.

During his medical school training, Williams wrestled with the possible demands that his future medical career (neurosurgery or cardiac surgery at that time) would preclude his ability to effectively develop the ministry he’d been called into. While completing his Ph.D. studies, a colleague suggested Otolaryngol- ogy. After much prayer, it became apparent that the opportunity to treat voice problems and educate on vocal care would afford the ideal mechanism for merging music, ministry and medicine.

“I have been given tremendous favor in opportunities to educate the body of Christ on the importance of the voice - not just for singers but for every be- liever,” expresses Williams. Williams has facilitated workshops and been featured at Gospel Announcers Guild Conventions, Beyond Potential Music Gathering, I.M.A.C.Conference, Bobby Jones Gospel, TCT TV, Airplay 360 Ezine and served as on-call voice doctor for The Dove Awards. The primary goal for Williams is the education of singers, preachers and speakers in proper vocal technique and voice hygiene to help prevent the development of voice problems and ultimately enhance the worship experience.

Along with being a physician, a songwriter, lecturer, worship leader and elder at his home church Oasis Worship Center, most significantly, Williams is a husband and father to which there is a divine balance. “I have a wife and three children who love the Lord and understand the call of God on my life,” Williams adoringly states. “More importantly, they celebrate and not simply tolerate the calling.”

Williams is first and foremost the priest of his home and without reservation will sacrifice for his family. “Lord knows my commitment to my family and that I would not do anything to compromise the health of my family,” he explains. “God is not glorified if I leave my first ministry poorly attended to for the sake of ministry outside the home to strangers.”

“As a physician, regardless of how tired or exhausted I might be, when my pager goes off, I go to the hos- pital to tend the needs of a complete stranger, in many cases without the promise of compensation,” Williams continues. “I dare not deprive my family of a commitment that I freely offer to strangers. They are deserving of much more of me - and that I've vowed to deliver.”

Williams is loyal to his family, is a meticulous medical expert and is passionate about his music ministry. His offering – Everything.
