NASHVILLE MUSIC COMMUNITY'S TSUNAMI RELIEF CONCERT TO AIR LIVE AND EXCLUSIVELY ON XM SATELLITE RADIO

"AN EVENING OF RESTORATION: MUSIC CITY COMES TOGETHER FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF" TO AIR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26, AT 8 PM ET/5 PM PT ON XM'S AMERICA (XM CHANNEL 10), THE FISH (XM CHANNEL 32) AND XM LIVE (XM CHANNEL 200)

Washington D.C., January 24, 2005 -- XM Satellite Radio, the nation's leading provider of satellite radio with more than 3.2 million subscribers, will broadcast "An Evening of Restoration: Music City Comes Together for Tsunami Relief," a Nashville benefit concert to help victims of the Tsunami disaster in southern Asia, on Wednesday, January 26, at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT on XM's contemporary country channel America (XM Channel 10), the Christian pop channel The Fish (XM Channel 32) and the special events channel XM Live (XM Channel 200).

The one-night-only concert, which will air exclusively on XM, is bringing together a number of Nashville's major music organizations and artists from a wide variety of genres to benefit World Vision, the international relief agency providing assistance on the ground in the disaster region.

The show will be co-hosted by Kathy Mattea and Michael W. Smith at the Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville. Confirmed performers include Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Marty Roe of Diamond Rio, the Oak Ridge Boys, CeCe Winans, , Steve Cropper, Kirk Whalum, tobyMac, Crystal Gayle, MercyMe, Lee Greenwood, The Whites, Raul Malo, The Crabb Family, Dr. Bobby Jones, Michael Martin Murphey, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra and a contingent of Grand Ole Opry stars.

The benefit concert is a part of Project Restore (www.ProjectRestore.org), established to serve as the industry's unified campaign for raising awareness of how the music community and its fans can be involved, including encouraging financial donations to World Vision (www.worldvision.org) and other relief agencies which are directly providing disaster relief for the countries and the victims of the tsunami.
