    SBK: ottime prestazioni per Pirelli sul nuovo circuito tailandese di Buriram | 1 Pirelli ha debuttato con successo sul nuovo tracciato thailandese di Buriram, città che si trova circa 400 chilometri a nord-est della capitale Bangkok, in occasione del secondo round stagionale del Campionato Mondiale eni FIM Superbike, che è stato accolto da una folla di quasi 84.000 spettatori. Per affrontare questo appuntamento su un circuito completamente nuovo, a, Pirelli ha scelto di mettere a disposizione dei piloti Superbike e Supersport la sua gamma completa di pneumatici racing che non ha deluso le aspettative offrendo prestazioni di assoluto prim’ordine. In Gara 1 parte subito bene dalla pole position Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team). Alle sue spalle è battaglia per la seconda posizione tra Leon Haslam (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils), Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) e Alex Lowes (Voltcom Crescent Suzuki). Già dopo i primi giri le distanze tra i piloti di testa aumentano congelando le rispettive posizioni. A guidare il gruppo è Rea, seguito da Haslam, Lowes, Sykes e Torres. Al 12° giro caduta di Lowes che perde la terza posizione ma riesce a rientrare in pista al nono posto. A partire dal 15° giro Torres si fa sempre più vicino a Tom Sykes che però riesce a mantenere la posizione tagliando il traguardo al terzo posto, alle spalle di Leon Haslam e del vincitore di gara Jonathan Rea. Degno di nota anche il nono posto finale del tre volte Campione del Mondo Troy Bayliss (Aruba.it Racing-Ducati SBK Team). In Gara 2 scappa subito via Jonathan Rea, al suo inseguimento si lanciano Alex Lowes e Chaz Davies su Ducati, quarto Leon Haslam.
