We start learning about the boating world in rowboats and small sailing dinghies, working closely with friendly and enthusiastic instructors. CAYSP's student to instructor ratio is a 6:1. Small classes allow for hands-on learning by doing, making wonderful friends and appreciating our local environment. We are a welcoming and tight community, hosting a few popular annual events. Our approach is 1.) safety first 2.) making life-long friends and 3.) learning rowing and sailing. We follow guidelines and safety policies that are based and supported by the US Sailing Association with many of our instructors holding US Sailing Level 1 and 2 certifications. CAYSP is a wonderful way to spend part or most of your summer ~ getting to know the harbor, Penobscot Bay and the world of boating can be carried throughout all of our lives!
