UP NEXT — The sixth-seeded and third-ranked UCLA men's soccer team (14-3-2) continues its drive 2004 UCLA R ESULTS (14-3-2, 6-2-0) towards the NCAA College Cup with a NCAA third round game against 11th-seeded St. John's. The Bruins clinched the title after a 2-1 comeback win at Washington on Nov. 5. 2004 H ONORS Down 1-0 at halftime, the Bruins scored two second-half goals to snatch away the victory. In addition, first-year head coach Jorge Salcedo received Co-Coach of the Year honors. It is the second consecutive year in which a UCLA Evan Corey player and coach have earned these awards. In 2003, Matt Taylor was the Player of the Year, and Tom 2nd-Team Pac-10 All-Academic Fitzgerald was the Coach of the Year. In addition to Ianni, seniors Mike Enfield and Aaron Lopez earned first- team honors for the first time (Lopez was a second-team selection in 2003 and 2002, Enfield earned Mike Enfield honorable mention acclaim in 2002). Sophomores Chad Barrett, Benny Feilhaber and Brandon Owens 1st-Team All-Pac-10 received second-team acclaim. For Feilhaber, it was his first all-conference selection. Barrett and Owens M.A.C. Hermann Trophy Watch both received honors last season. On the honorable mention team were Jordan Harvey, Kamani Hill and Eric List Reed. Pac-10 Player of the Week (Oct. 12-18, Sept. 14-20) UCLA SETS NCAA RECORD WITH 38TH CONSECUTIVE WINNING SEASON — With yet another winning Soccer America Team of the season in the books, the Bruins have set a new NCAA record for consecutive winning seasons with 38 from Week (Oct. 12-18) 1967-present. The record was previously held by Saint Louis (37 consecutive from 1959-1996).
