In addition, first-year head coach Jorge Salcedo received Co-Coach of the Year honors. It is the second consecutive year in which a UCLA Evan Corey player and coach have earned these awards. Pac-10 Player of the Week (Oct. 12-18, Sept. 14-20) UCLA SETS NCAA RECORD WITH 38TH CONSECUTIVE WINNING SEASON — With yet another winning Soccer America Team of the season in the books, the Bruins have set a new NCAA record for consecutive winning seasons with 38 from Week (Oct. 12-18) 1967-present. The record was previously held by Saint Louis (37 consecutive from 1959-1996). The Bruins College Soccer News National have 14 more years of winning seasons from 1953-1966, but soccer was not an NCAA sport at UCLA at the Player of the Week (week of Oct. time. 17) LOPEZ A SEMIFINALIST FOR M.A.C. HERMANN TROPHY — Senior defender Aaron Lopez has been College Soccer News Team of chosen for the second consecutive year as a semifinalist for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy. The Bruin duo started and played all 90 minutes in Patrick Ianni helping the U.S. earn a 2-0 shutout over Honduras on Nov. 19. Wynne earned his first career cap, and Owens Pac-10 Co-Player of the Year received his 36th overall. The U-20s are coached by former UCLA head coach . 1st-Team All-Pac-10 HEAD COACH JORGE SALCEDO — Former UCLA All-American and assistant coach Jorge Salcedo enters his first season as head coach of the Bruins.
