Our purpose is to establish a network to aid persons researching family origins in Pitt County. Our Quarterly subscription fee is $30.00; subscriptions run concurrently from January 1 to December 31. Payments after February 15 require the extra postage for issues missed. Back issues (Winter 1994-present) may be purchased at $7.50 + $2.50 postage per number, or $30.00 per volume. Queries are free to subscribers (four/year, pending space). Members and readers are invited to submit primary resource material concerning Pitt County, NC, and its adjacent counties, preferably in the form of photocopies of the original documents). A clean, typed, transcript would be acceptable. Please state, clearly, the location of the original material; copyrighted material must be accompanied by a statement of permission from the holder. Answer he works at the coopers trade Sometimes in Duplin & Sometimes in Lenoir County & I saw him once Coming towards his plantation & house in Lenoir County. I asked him where he was going & he said he was going home he was not exceeding a half a mile from his plantation & House in Lenoir County. Question by J. B. WHITFIELD is Bright HARPER a free holder in this county of fifty acres of land free of incumberance & has he possessed the same six: months previous to the day of Election Answer he is he owns more than one hundred acres of land in Lenoir County & has owned it more than six months before the Election Question by J.
