Books

The library has a variety of books that can be used for language learning. They include books that provide assistance with vocabulary, grammar and conversational learning. We also have a large collection of foreign language dictionaries. Ask the librarian for help finding these materials.

The Reference Dictionaries cannot be checked out. There are additional dictionaries in the Nonfiction collection that can be checked out for use at home.

The library has a variety of audio CDs and DVDs for language learning. Ask the librarian for assistance finding materials.

Juvenile

The library has a variety of language learning materials for children. Ask the Children’s Librarian for assistance.

Databases

Mango Languages

This database offers introductory language learning in 72 languages through audio and video. Ask the librarian for a lesson on using this popular database which can be accessed for use from home. The Mango database is only available to Washington Township cardholders. Check with your local library for access to language databases.
