Revitalizing parties worldwide with his creative spins and versatility, Tayari “DJ Trauma” McIntosh continues to mix up some of the most remembered celebrity bashes in North America and abroad. His unique ability to blend new music and familiar sounds creates a vibe that is addictive to a diverse set of audiences. Whether the event calls for mainstream, top 40’s, hip house, house or even classic 80’s and 90’s, this is one DJ who has the bases covered.

Originally from New York, the birthplace of hip-hop, DJ Trauma left his hometown to attend college at Clark University (CAU) in Atlanta, GA. During his tenure at CAU, DJ Trauma gained a fan base by showcasing his programming and mixing skills at countless college parties. The buzz and craze received from his peers quickly jumpstarted his career and lead him to a tour DJ appearance with Bad Boy Entertainment.

Inspired by the success of popular DJs such as Red Alert, Mr. Magic, Pete Rock, and Kid Capri, DJ Trauma saw how influential a DJ was in the music scene and decided to explore DJing as a career. In a short time, his talent, business savvy, and relationships expanded his career into new areas including traveling internationally. In 2009, DJ Trauma was named the official DJ for the 2009 Channel-O Awards after party in Johannesburg, . DJ Trauma was also a special invited guest as a conference panelist, instructor and judge during the 2009 New Skool Rules in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In addition, DJ Trauma’s 2009 international travels included providing musical sounds for premier nightclubs in London, England, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. In 2010, DJ Trauma’s talent and brand experienced another busy year. DJ Trauma was selected to perform in various nightclubs and events including Rehab in Lagos, Nigeria, Premium Nightclub in Johannesburg, South Africa, and 02 Nightclub in Australia. As the official Tour DJ for Ciara, DJ Trauma’s international travels included Australia, China, and Russia.

With his brand expanding overseas, DJ Trauma’s imprint still ranked high amongst many DJ’s nationally. In previous years, DJ Trauma was the featured DJ for celebrity bashes hosted by entertainment notables such as Russell Simmons, Sean “P-Diddy” Combs, Jay-Z and more. 2010 proved to be no different. Besides DJing for Sean Garrett’s 2010 US Tour, DJ Trauma turntable skills were selected to rock various celebrity and lifestyle events including Akon’s private birthday celebration, the 2010 Super bowl Belvedere Lounge and Young Jeezy’s 2010 Super bowl Party in Miami, the Drake Hotel 2010 CIAA event in Charlotte, NC, the Official Maxwell Concert after party in Atlanta, GA, Ciara’s performance at the 2010 New York Fashion Week, and the All White Party for the Essence Music Festival featuring Idris Elba. DJ Trauma also tapped into internet radio by hosting BeehiveFM.com Midday Show 10am – 2pm daily.

Along with his most recent accomplishments, Trauma has made his mark as a co-founding member of one of the premier DJ crews in the south; the World Famous Super Friends, brought havoc to the airwaves as the featured DJ on Atlanta’s most popular hip-hop station HOT 107.9 FM’s “Emergency Room”, and reigned as one of the Atlanta’s best DJs on MTV’s “Direct Effect”. Other accolades include becoming the official DJ for popular hip hop website 24hourhiphop.com and being recognized as Atlanta’s best club DJ by GIANT Magazine.

Currently, DJ Trauma has a strong foundation and following and currently performs over a 100 times a year, spinning a mainstream mix of commercial dance, Top 40, hip hop and R&B. With a knack for marketing and an ear for music production, DJ Trauma will enter 2011 with new efforts by producing for established and emerging artists including ’s Anoop Desai. DJ Trauma will also expand his brand to include more lifestyle and influencer initiatives.
