British Canoeing Canoe Slalom Junior, U23 & Senior Selection Policy 2020 Note – To be read in conjunction with 2020 Olympic Team Selection Policy Published 11.12.2018 Introduction – Mark Ratcliffe, Head Coach Canoe Slalom: ''2019 was a big year for our British team athletes with an amazing home World Cup, successes at age group Championships, and an incredibly competitive Olympic selection process culminating at the World Championships. Great Britain gained hard earnt Olympic quotas in each Olympic category and we have selected a fantastic team to represent our sport next year in Tokyo. I'd like to pay tribute to all the athletes who have been incredible this year and wish the Olympic team every success out in Tokyo. I'd also like to thank every volunteer, parent, coach and judge who have supported athletes. This year’s selection series offers a great opportunity to integrate junior, U23 and Senior paddlers and as ever places will be tightly fought as we look to continually improve the quality and depth of our GB Slalom teams.
