Hill International Wins CMAA's International Project of the Year Award for The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai
Marlton, NJ -- Hill International, Inc., the worldwide construction consulting firm, has announced that the company has received a Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). The award was presented to Hill on September 13, 2005, at the CMAA's National Conference and Trade Show held at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Huntington Beach, California.
The award recognized Hill for its management of the reclamation of The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Palm Jumeirah, which was recognized by the CMAA as its "International Project of the Year", is the first of three man-made, palm-shaped resort islands in the Arabian Gulf being developed by Nakheel Corporation. The other two planned islands are The Palm Jebel Ali and The Palm Deira. Upon completion, The Palm Jumeirah will include more than 2,000 private villas, 2,500 apartments, hundreds of retail stores and restaurants as well as dozens of luxury hotels and beach resorts providing thousands of guest rooms.
