Five women will be recognized for their leadership, influence and dedication to the Delaware Valley. Among the five women spotlighted is the founding member of the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health, and the executive director of MusicWorks. KYW Newsradio Community Affairs reporter Cherri Gregg will host the event at the National Museum of American Jewish History. Gregg has been recognized by the NAACP as among the “104 Influential Black Women” from the Philadelphia area. Former District Attorney of Philadelphia, Lynne Abraham is keynote speaker. Abraham’s 18-year tenure as District Attorney is the longest in modern city history. “KYW Newsradio is proud to honor these women whose contributions have had a positive impact on our community,” says CBS Radio Philadelphia Senior Vice President and Market Manager Marc Rayfield. “Each one of them has accomplished greatness, and we are glad to recognize them in a public way, consistent with our role as a reliable news source for the Delaware Valley.” The 2013 Winners are: Elsa Candelario, MSW, LCSW, Executive Director of the Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (HFC) Lynne Z. Gold-Bikin, Esquire, Senior Partner in Weber Gallagher’s Family Law Practice Group Sister Eileen Marnien, SSJ, Director of the Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center Lori O’Leary, MBA, Executive Director of MusicWorks Shelley Schwartz, Founder, Foundation for Breast & Prostate Health From April 1st to June 1st, KYW Newsradio accepted nominations for this award online. A panel of regional female business leaders selected the winners, and KYW has reported stories of career and community success on air and online at cbsphilly.com/leadership. This program is proud to benefit Career Wardrobe, a nonprofit organization that provides a unique and essential service to help women of all walks of life achieve in our community. Career Wardrobe helps women transition to employment by providing them with free professional clothing and the essential accessory that goes with every outfit: self-confidence.
