BAT MITZVAH Ella Laboda, daughter of Alane Laboda, sister of Sarah, and granddaughter of Sheila and Gerald, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, November 4 at Temple Beth El. A 7th grader at Cypress Lake Middle School, Ella is a straight-A student. Her love of pets prompted her mitzvah project. Working with animal shelters, she will make pet toys and collect donations for res- cued animals, hoping to make their lives a little better. Ella’s many interests include scuba diving, cross country, and playing piano. She loves spending her free time hanging with friends, cuddling with her dogs, and reading a good book. However, nothing makes her happier than being silly and making people smile. Ella would like to thank all her friends and family for making her mitzvah project such an enriching experience. She also thanks everybody who helped her to prepare for her Bat Mitzvah, especially Dale and Rabbi Luna. She truly enjoyed learning and studying Hebrew. OBITUARY Judy Tritel (7/1/1944 - 10/10/2017) was born and raised in Philadelphia, and lived in Fort Myers since 1973. She was a psychotherapist in the field of re- habilitation counseling, getting her degree while raising three boys. She had many passions including nature, photography, films, biking, yoga/meditation, her Kitties, birds, music and books. She is survived by her husband of over 22 years, Don Asselin, three sons from her first marriage and their spouses, Moshe-Beryl, Paul-Lisa, Richard-Tina, and eight grandkids and two dogs who all loved her very much; and Don’s four sons and their spouses, Donnie-Susan, Mike-Toby, Steve-Amy, Major-Jen, and one daughter, Katherine-Robert with 12 grandkids and a great-grandson.
