Kindred Murillo currently serves as the Superintendent/President of Lake Tahoe Community College. She formerly served as the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services for Contra Costa Community College District. She began her higher education experience in 1996 when she was hired as a part-time faculty member, later to become full-time, at the Desert Community College District. She was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services when Copper Mountain Community College became a separate district, overseeing fiscal services, budget, facilities, maintenance and operations, and technology services. Kindred also served as the Vice President of Administrative Services at Pasadena Area Community College District. She has served on fourteen visiting teams and three special teams for the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges.

Dr. Kindred Murillo Kindred is a product of the community college system, graduating from Lake Tahoe Community College Barstow Community College with a liberal arts degree. She went on to Superintendent/President complete her B.S. in Business Administration at Redlands University, and Team Chair her M.S. in Organization Development at . She completed her doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University in 2010.

Kindred enjoys hiking, bicycling, paddle boarding, and other outdoor activities with her husband and son.

Michelle Risdon began teaching at LTCC in the fall of 1998. She received her Ph.D. in Languages and Literature and a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan where, from 1991-1998 she taught, as a graduate student, composition, literature, and courses in women’s studies. Michelle’s undergraduate work was completed at the University of Puget Sound in English and French. After graduating summa cum laude from Puget Sound, she traveled through Greece and parts of the Middle East and worked on an archaeological dig in the ancient city of Sepphoris, just outside of Nazareth, Israel. Michelle has lived in various places around the world, including Turkey, Thailand, France, England, a number of different sates in the U.S., and now Tahoe.

Michelle acted as the chair of the English department at LTCC for twelve years. She taught composition, research and critical thinking, and literature Dr. Michelle Risdon courses (including British and American Literature, Shakespeare, Women Lake Tahoe Community College in Literature, Cross-Cultural Literature, Masterpieces of the Modern World, Interim Vice President of and a special course on Toni Morrison). Academic Affairs Michelle became the interim Dean of Instruction in 2014 and then the Team Assistant interim Vice President of Instruction in 2015 at LTCC. She has served as a co-chair of Standard I for two cycles of Accreditation at Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) as well as tri-chair of the most recent cycle at LTCC. She is currently the college’s Accreditation Liaison Officer.

Jeremy Brown is currently the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Lake Tahoe Community College. Prior to starting at LTCC he served as the Director of Assessment and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the College of Graduate Nursing at Western University of Health Sciences. He has over 10 years of experience in higher education, primarily in the areas of SLO assessment, program review, and educational technology. Additionally, he has over three years of experience in the areas of online education, grants administration, and strategic planning. Jeremy earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership, both from . He went on to complete post-graduate certificates in New Learning Technology from the and Online Instruction from the Online Learning Consortium. I have worked at in Salinas in my current role since 1997. Prior to my Hartnell job, I worked as a librarian for twenty years in public, academic, and special libraries. I have served on many committees at Hartnell including Curriculum, Academic Senate, Outcomes & Assessments, Full-Time Faculty Hiring, Program Planning and Assessment, and Distance Education. I am a California community college graduate (A. A., Hartnell College), and a graduate of San Diego State University (B. S., Child Development), San Jose State University (M. A., Librarianship), and California State University, East Bay (M. S., Education with an Option in Online Teaching and Ms. Margaret Mayfield Learning). Away from Hartnell I work as an adjunct librarian at in Gilroy. My non-work time is spent walking my yellow lab, Bailey, gardening, reading, working on home improvement projects, volunteering with my church, and visiting my two daughters in Los Angeles.

Jacqui Shehorn has been teaching English at West Hills College Lemoore in the Central Valley for nineteen years. She teaches all levels of English, though her primary assignment and interest is in Basic Skills. During her time at WHCL she has served on the curriculum committee, Academic Senate, Faculty Association Executive Board (CTA), SLO Committee, Facilities Committee, BSI Committee, Equivalency Committee, DE Task Force, and Technology Committee. Jacqui has also served as an advisor to student clubs and as the Learning Communities Coordinator, and she is currently the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator. She has taught courses online since 2005. West L.A. is her third team visit. She was the writer for WHCL's previous two self-evaluations and currently co-chairs Standard IV at her college. Anna Hanlon is a professor of Health and Exercise Science at . She currently serves as the College's Program Assessment and Improvement Coordinator and as the Curriculum Chair. She began her career at Orange Coast College in 1984, when she was hired as the Instructional Associate in the College's Exercise Physiology Laboratory. During this time she also served as a part time faculty member in the Physical Education Department. She later took a position with the Vice President of Administrative Services, serving as his administrative assistance. In 2003, she began her current fulltime faculty position with Kinesiology and Athletics.

Ms. Anna Hanlon Anna completed her undergraduate and graduate work in Physical Orange Coast College Education at CSU Fullerton, graduating with highest honors and being Professor, Health; Program named the Physical Education Department's both undergraduate and Assessment & Improvement graduate of the year. She recently returned CSU Fullerton, completing her Master's in Public Health in 2011; she is currently working on her Ed.D. in

Anna enjoys theater, sports, and team trivia. She lives in Fullerton with her husband, Mitch; she has two grown children and a loving German Shepard.

Dr. Paul Jarrell is a twenty year employee of where he is currently Dean of Academic Affairs-Instructional Support at Pasadena City College. His primary responsibilities are enrollment management, curriculum oversight, and assessment. He is also a co-negotiator for the Pasadena Area Community College District. Prior to his current position, Paul was Dean of Science and Mathematics, Dean of Business Engineering, and Technology, and Associate Dean of Career Technical Education. In addition to his management experience at Pasadena City College, he served as Biology Faculty member for 16 years.

Former successful business executive turned educator, entrepreneur, and lecturer with twenty-five years of experience in business management, concurrent with fifteen years of experience in teaching Business Management part-time at . In 2001, transitioned to full-time educator for Cerritos College in addition to part-time instructor for Northwood University for the past eight years. Management experience includes from unit level, to District Manager (8 years), to VP/Market Development (3 years), to VP/Operations (5 years), to business owner. Current educational responsibilities include teaching, Business Administration Chair, Business Administration Program and Distance Ed Coordinator, and the Chair of the Hiring Standards Committee. Career: Luis Pablo Sanchez became president of on February 23, 2015. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Academic Affairs for in Santa Maria, California from 2011 to 2015. From 1991 to 2006, he was a full-time professor of law and taxation at , in Rocklin, California, where he was twice recognized as Outstanding Instructor by the student body, and then was dean of Business, Technology, and Public Safety from 2006 to 2011. Before that, Mr. Sanchez maintained a private commercial law practice and taught law part-time at California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Luis Sanchez California State University, Sacramento in 1976, his Juris Doctorate degree Moorpark College from the University of the Pacific (McGeorge School of Law) in 1983, and President his Master’s degree in Business and Tax law from McGeorge Law School in 1990. Personal: Luis is the son of Mexican immigrants, and is a first-generation college graduate. He lives in Moorpark with his partner, Teresa, and their elderly rescue dog, Sophie. He has two adult children, Robert and Elizabeth, who both live in San Diego. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Ventura County United Way, as well as the Board of Managers for the Conejo Valley YMCA. In his spare time, he loves to read (biographies, in particular), hike, play golf, travel, and play guitar.

Dr. O’Rorke began his career in Higher Education in 1998 where he was an Academic Counselor at Northern Arizona University. He then migrated to nearby Yavapai College to serve as Advisor/Financial Aid Coordinator. By 2001, he joined the staff at Arizona State University to work as a Senior Advisor and faculty member. From there he accepted the position of Associate Dean of Students at Broward College in South Florida. In 2006 he joined as the Dean of Enrollment Services, and has been the Vice President of Student Services since 2013. He has served as the Chief Student Services Officer Association Region 1 representative and the Matriculation Advisory Committee Region 1 representative to the Chancellor’s Office.

Dr. Kevin O’Rorke Dr. O’Rorke holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Education, a Shasta College Master’s Degree in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Vice President of Student Kevin has served on the executive board for the United Way of Northern Services California, is a proud member of the Shasta County Chapter of the NAACP, and Shasta County Citizens against Racism (SCCAR), and also sits on the executive board of the Shasta County Reach Higher Committee. He was recently honored as a “20 under 40” award winner, a rogram that identifies emerging north state leaders.

Other Representatives Dr. James E. Smith currently serves as Dean of Research, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness at San Bernardino Valley College. He possesses a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Social Impact Assessment from Cal-State Dominguez Hills. He earned a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Irvine with a concentration in Comparative Cultures research methodology. He has taught courses in statistics and research methods at numerous colleges and universities both public and private. His work at San Bernardino Valley College involves planning and evaluation activities for enrollment management, student equity, strategic planning, and educational master planning.
