Lydia Mamsie Tsosane was born in South Africa, both mother and father were singers. She started singing in church and in school choirs. She teamed up with a township band from Soweto, performing in jazz clubs like kippies and at national jazz festivals like The Joy Of Jazz Festival, performed on Afro Cafe, galas and toured Europe, Asia and South Africa. She recorded with many well known South African artists and got her first break as a song writer/lyricst when she co- wrote a song which was featured in an album called “Classically Zulu”. Moved to to work with The Lion King in 2006 and released two single rnb/pop albums under her own name. First single “ Liar” which got her in the top ten charts internationally as an independent artist, charting at position seven, “Step On Over “which she has also released under her own name. She also worked with a TV station ingermany known as KIKA, doing voice overs for two english movies synchronizing in german. She has recently moved back to South Africa and is working on her solo music career.
