The County Council of Lancashire, in exercise of its powers under Sections 83(2) and 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order: -
1. 2. 30mph Speed Limit No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph on any of the lengths of road as set out in Schedule 2 to this Order.
3. ~~Qr~~h ~~eecf ~~mi~ fro person shalt drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40mph on any of the lengths of road as set out in Schedule 3 to This Order.
4. 50mph Speed Limit No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50mph on any of the lengths of road as set out in Schedule 4 to this Order.
5. De-Restriction The length of road as set out in Schedule 5 to this Order shall cease to be restricted road for the purposes of Section 81 of the Act. 6. Exemption No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces)(Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
7. The Lancashire County Council in exercise of its powers under seCtiona 82{2), 83(2) and 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief officer of Police in accordance with Part IIi of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following OrBer:- 1. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour along the A675 Haghton Lane, H~ghton and Walton-le-Dale, from a point 137 metres east of its junction with Bells Lane to a point 25 metres southeast of the summit of I3oghton bridge, a distance of 1.4km. 2. The full length of station Road, Hoghton, from its junction with A675 Haghtan Lane to its junction with A675 Hoghton Lane shall become a restricted road for the purposes of Section 81 of the Act. 3. This order may be cited as "The Lancashire county Council (A675 xoghton Lane, Hoghton/Walton-le-Dale and station road, Fioghton, Chorley Borough and South Ribble Borough} (50mph and 30mph Speed Limits) order 1993 and shall came into operation on the 20th December, 1493.
