This trip marks the first of three trips to Municipal Stadium in the second half. Upon completing this series, the 2018 2ND HALF STANDINGS Quakes will return home on Monday, July 9th to face Lancaster for four straight. NORTH W L PCT GB VS SAN JOSE: Today is the sixth of 18 total meetings between the Quakes and Giants and the second of 11 games to be played at Stockton* 10 4 .714 - Municipal Stadium. In Rancho's last series against San Jose, the Quakes took three of four games over the North Division opponents Visalia 8 6 .571 2.0 at LoanMart Field. Last night's win gives Rancho a 4-1 series-lead over the Giants. San Jose 5 9 .357 5.0 LAST TIME OUT: Leo Crawford fired seven innings of one-hit, shut-out baseball, as the Quakes defeated the Giants by a final of 3-1 Modesto 4 10 .286 6.0 on Wednesday night at Municipal Stadium. The win for Rancho is their season-best ninth straight. All three of Rancho's runs came via the long-ball, as Omar Estevez broke a scoreless tie with an eighth-inning, two-run homer. Inland Empire 4 10 .286 8.0 STREAK STUFF: The Quakes enter Thursday on a season-long nine-game winning streak, putting their record at a season-best, ten games over the .500 mark at 12-2 in the second half and 47-37 overall. The streak started on June 26th at Lake Elsinore with three * First-Half Division Winner straight shut-out wins, a franchise-first. Prior to this run, the longest winning streak of the year was five games. Over the current stretch, the Quakes are outscoring their opponents 49-14. The last time they won eight straight was back in 2015 (May 9-18). The last CAL LEAGUE SCOREBOARD time they won nine straight was in 2014 (June 25 - July 4). In Wednesday's win, Thomas went 2-for-4 with a ninth-inning homer, his fifth in five games against the Giants this year. Thomas now has ten homers on the year and seven in the second half. Overall against San Jose, Thomas is hitting .400 (8-for-20) with five homers and six RBIs in five games. Today D-LUX: Since missing two weeks (including the All-Star Game) with a hamstring injury, Gavin Lux has hit in seven of eight games, Modesto at Lancaster, 6:35 PM including seven in a row. Three of the last four games, Lux has recorded two hits in each and smacked his first round-tripper since Rancho Cucamonga at San Jose, 7:00 PM coming off the DL in Tuesday night's 4-1 win over Inland Empire. Lux is batting .315 on the year after going 1-for-5 last night. Visalia at Lake Elsinore, 7:00 PM HEATING UP: After going 0-for-17 in June, Nick Yarnall has hit safely in all three July games, going 6-for-11 with a home run. RECENT ROSTER MOVES: Thursday was a busy transaction day for the Quakes, as there were five total moves. Leaving the Quakes for Double-A Tulsa of the Texas League were All-Star Dean Kremer (5-3, 3.30 ERA, 16 GS), and relievers Michael Boyle (1-0, 0.87, 13 G, 3 SV) and Nolan Long (4-0, 1.14, 17 G, 2 SV). Activated off the DL is catcher Steve Berman (.298 avg, 3 HR, 11 RBIs, 15 Tomorrow G). In addition, the Dodgers have signed lefty pitcher Ben Holmes and assigned him to Rancho Cucamonga. Holmes was drafted Modesto at Lancaster, 6:35 PM Rancho Cucamonga at San Jose, 7:00 PM by the Miami Marlins in the ninth round of the 2014 draft out of Oregon State University. Holmes went 0-0 with a 5.56 ERA in eight appearances this year, spread between High-A Jupiter of the Florida State League and Double-A Jacksonville of the Southern League. Visalia at Lake Elsinore, 7:00 PM MOSELEY SPOT-START: Right-hander Ryan Moseley will make his second start and 30th appearance of the year in tonight's Stockton at Inland Empire, 7:05 PM game against the Giants. Moseley took the loss in his only appearance against the Giants this year on June 21st, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit with two walks and four strikeouts over two innings. In his only other start this year, allowed two runs (one earned on one hit with three walks and two strikeouts in a no-decision vs. Inland Empire on June 9th. Moseley was originally drafted 2018 QUAKES AT A GLANCE by Baltimore in the eighth round out of Texas Tech University by Baltimore in 2016. Was traded to the Dodgers in February of 2017 1st Half Record: 35-35 for lefty Vidal Nuno. Last season, went 0-1 with a 3.26 ERA in ten games (three starts) for Rancho. 2nd Half Record: 12-2 OPPOSING PITCHER : Right-hander Jason Bahr will make just his third start for San Jose and his first against the Quakes. Dodgers INF Justin Turner joined the Quakes along with INF Logan Forsythe in a weekend series vs. Visalia (5/12-5/13). Turner was 0-for-6 at the plate while Forsythe finished 1-for-10 with a double during the time in Rancho. Yasiel Puig joined the club on Date Opponent Result/Time rehab assignment Tuesday (5/8) in Lake Elsinore. Puig was 0-for-4 at the plate and was removed from the game in the June 21 San Jose L, 5-6 seventh inning.

    Great Lakes Bay Region Destination Assets Analysis July 20, 2017 1 July 20, 2017 Annette Rummel, PhD/CEO Great Lakes Bay Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau 515 N Washington Avenue 2nd Floor Saginaw, Michigan 48607 Dear Ms. Rummel, Great Lakes Bay Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLBCVB) engaged the Hunden Strategic Partners Team (HSP or HSP Team) to conduct a tourism and quality of life destination development master plan for the Great Lakes Bay Region. The study analyzed the existing tourism attractions of the region and then identified gaps and opportunities in Saginaw County, Bay County and Midland County. Based on this analysis, HSP provided specific recommendations for each county to drive hotel room nights, fill gaps in the leisure calendar, and complement the existing assets of the region. Attached is our report. This deliverable has been prepared under the following general assumptions and limiting conditions: § The findings presented herein reflect analysis of primary and secondary sources of information that are assumed to be correct. In total, the new player development system includes 179 teams across 17 leagues in 43 states and four provinces. Including the AZL and GCL, there are 209 teams across 19 leagues in 44 states and four provinces. That includes the 150 teams in the PDL and AZL/GCL along with the four partner leagues: the American Association, Atlantic League, Frontier League and Pioneer League. The long-time Triple-A structure of the International and Pacific Coast Leagues have been replaced by Triple-A East and Triple-A West. Triple-A East consists on 20 teams; all 14 from the International League, plus teams moving from the Pacific Coast League, the Southern League and the independent Atlantic League. Triple-A West is comprised of nine Pacific Coast League teams and one addition from the Atlantic League.
