Tidal waters such as we have in the Bristol Channel and the River Avon can be unpredictable. Our volunteers do seem to have had a lower frequency of call-outs so far in 2018. We can hope that this is because the Respect the Water message is getting through and people are taking more care. As the education message is taken up we hope that call-outs will drop again in 2019.
