APPENDIX I (See paragraph – 6) FORM 1 I) Basic information Sl. No Item Details Expansion of the Existing Distillery from 90 KLPD to dual feed 300 KLPD under EBP Scheme [Project or Activity Schedule 5(g) under Category ‘B2’] as per MoEF&CC Notification No. S.O.980 (E) 1. Name of the project/s 02.03.2021 by M/s. Satish Sugars Limited (SSL) located at Sangankeri Road, Hunshyal P.G., Taluk, District, Karnataka State. Pin: 591 224. 2. S.No.in the schedule Category B2 of MoEF&CC with the activity 5(g) Proposed capacity /area /length / Expansion of Distillery from 90 KLPD (even though tonnage to be handled/command EC obtained for 120 KLPD) to dual feed 210 KLPD 3. area/lease area/ number of wells to totalling to 300 KLPD under Ethanol Blending be drilled Programme (EBP) of MOEF&CC. 4. New / Expansion / Modernization Expansion 1. M/s. Satish Sugars started their operation in 2002 as Khandasari Sugar Producing Unit by Open Pan Process. Subsequently increased the production capacity to 2500 TCD by Vacuum Pan Process. 2. EC obtained from MOEF&CC on 05.09.2007 for establishment of 60 KLPD Distillery Plant. 3. Expansion of sugar plant cane crushing capacity from 1250 TCD to 5000 TCD and Co-generation capacity 20 MW was done as per EC No. SEIAA: 11: IND: 2007 dt 23.06.2008 4. The industry was operating 4500 TCD sugar producing unit and 20 MW Cogeneration unit wherein the said capacities were not covered under the schedule of EIA Notification, 2006. 5. Existing Capacity/Area etc. 5. Subsequently, EC obtained from SEIAA on 17.12.2009 for Expansion of sugar factory capacity from 5,000 TCD to10,000 TCD and Co- generation capacity from 20 MW to 45 MW. 6. Further, the industry obtained EC from MOEF&CC on 16.10.2019 for expansion of molasses Based Distillery Unit from 60 KLPD TO 120 KLPD, Sugar cane crushing from 10,000 TCD to 15,000 TCD and Cogeneration Power Plant from 45 MW to 80 MW. 7. Even though the industry obtained EC for 120 KLPD, they have implemented 60 KLPD. Hence, as per MOEF&CC Notification Dt: 16.01.2020 on “No Increase in Pollution Load” with respect to change in raw material, the industry has
