7.20 Final MK EP 1 Ahole MIKE KENEALLY FREE VOLUME 1 HELLO, TORRENTIAL DENIZENS OF THE WEB! This EP is a sampling of live performances I’ve done with different groups over the years: two of the songs are from a DVD that comes with the Special Edition of my 2004 album Dog (one recorded in a living room, the other onstage), and the other three are from European live radio recordings If you’re new to my music, I hope this selection encourages you to further check out the stuff I do – in fact, another free EP awaits you at the online Mike Keneally Store, part of www.keneally.com, which will have its 20th anniversary next year. A little about me, if you’re totally new to me: I’ve been making solo albums for over 20 years, started out playing with Frank Zappa, currently tour with my own band and also as a member of Joe Satriani’s group and with Dethklok. My own music involves a lot of different styles, intricate composition, improvisation, many different moods and wild dynamic shifts. I love melody. I play guitar and keys, and sing also, and I work with the best musicians I can find. Our live shows have a LOT of energy and unexpected occurrences – each show is a unique event, so checking out multiple shows is definitely not a bad idea. I encourage the spreading of this Free Live EP far and wide. Feel free to put it on as many music download sites as you want, torrent the living hell out of it, tweet, Facebook, Pinterest...the more you tell your friends, the more people will download it, and that helps me build my audience. Which in turn helps me to make more music and tour...maybe even tour to your town. (We’re trying to play everywhere we can.) All I ask is that the contents of this download (the music, art and liner notes) remain intact and unaltered and again, it remains FREE. So, please, share away! I also hope you’ll hear my new solo album, You Must Be This Tall. It’s definitely one of my more in-your-face releases, with a lot of crazy writing and playing; it’s mostly instrumental, and if you like adventurous guitar-oriented music with touches of progressive writing, some jazzy stuff, some hard rock and some things that are just completely out there, I think you’ll really enjoy this album. You can order the CD and download at store.keneally.com. Thank you for giving this EP a listen - see you on the road! Sincerely, 1. However, when accomplished musician and engineer Agapitus “Augi” Lye purchased a new cello, he lacked the time necessary to adequately play-in the instrument. Utilizing his knowledge of acoustical physics and leaning on his engineering background, Lye built a prototype that would become the ToneRite. Surprised by the tonal improvements that had occurred in Lye’s cello in such a short time his luthier, fellow musicians and professionals urged him to continue his research and it was from his exploration that ToneRite was born. Through their ambitious studies of acoustical physics, advanced signal processing, engineering, and practiced musicians, the ToneRite team have spent years perfecting the science of play-in.

  • “Atheists and Believers”
“Atheists and Believers” Available as Ltd. Edition CD Digipak (with special packaging), 180g 2 LP Gatefold Edition (incl. etching on side 4 and the album on CD) and as Digital Album Release Date: March 22nd, 2019 The Mute Gods deliver hard-hitting message on future of the planet in Atheists and Believers Third album from Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson and Steve Hackett), Roger King (Steve Hackett) and Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats and The Sea Within) features guest appearances from Alex Lifeson, guitarist with Rush, drummer Craig Blundell (Frost* and Steven Wilson) and multi-instrumentalist Rob Townsend (Steve Hackett). As global populism continues to lead humanity down sinister, self-serving alleyways and truth is an irrelevance, does anyone have the capability of saving this planet? Have humans forgotten their responsibilities to each other, especially to those millions of people left homeless and displaced by conflict, while arms sales to warmongering nations carry on abated? These are some of the powerful themes that The Mute Gods put under the spotlight on Atheists and Believers . This is the third album in a trilogy of pulsating, turbulent rock compositions, that delves even deeper into the machinations that are driving mankind further towards an abyss of its own making. The metal-edged, menacing wake-up calls to humanity are tempered by three gentler, more sentimental compositions in which Beggs reflects on love and loss, mortality and marriage. “The album’s key message is that we now empower stupid people and don’t listen to educated, informed experts anymore because truth is no longer fashionable,” explains Beggs.

Klokateers, the band’s hooded helpers, will be at the door to pass out Dethklok tattoos, and bartenders will serve drinks with specially made cocktail napkins. Eight hours later, the band is scheduled to take the stage, kick ass, and accept the adulation of the thousands of rabid fans who snapped up tickets in time. Beller’s got a million things on his mind—there are albums to mix, sessions to plan, and tours in the balance—but his primary job tonight will be to make William Murderface, the bassist of Dethklok, sound good to a Comic-Con audience full of hardcore metal fans. And with him at the helm is manages to capture perfectly the spirit of Zappa’s music while stamping its own authority on the adventurous arrangements with its exuberant, joyous ensemble playing and in the quality of the solos. • BRENDON SMALL's GALAKTIKON: "A High Stakes Intergalactic Extreme Rock Album", His Long-Awaited Side Project Set to Release in April 2012
For Immediate Release February 20th, 2012 Metalocalypse Co-Creator Announces New Side Project: BRENDON SMALL’s GALAKTIKON BRENDON SMALL is the co-creator/ writer/ actor/ director/ producer/ of ADULT SWIM'S METALOCALYPSE television series. Brendon Small is also responsible for writing and performing all of the show's music and DETHKLOK: THE DETHALBUM and DETHALBUM II, the latter now known as the fastest-selling death metal album to date. Now, Brendon has written and produced BRENDON SMALL's GALAKTIKON: "A High Stakes Intergalactic Extreme Rock album", his long-awaited side project set to release in April 2012. The album release will coincide with the Season 4 premiere of METALOCALYPSE. Coming off of the second DETHKLOK album which was heavier and darker than the first, BRENDON SMALL’s GALAKTIKON searches for melody (in the vocal) and finds inspirations in modern black metal, Queen, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer. No influence is unwelcome on this project. Brendon Small paired with DETHKLOK drummer (legendary metal drummer) Gene Hoglan (Dethklok, Strapping Young Lad, Testament, Fear Factory) and DETHKLOK bassist Bryan Beller (Dethklok, Steve Vai, Mike Keneally band) and DETHKLOK engineer and mixer Ulrich Wild. “This album should be thought of as an audio comic book, an over acted chamber drama, a ridiculous premise that takes itself way too seriously all the way to the end,” states Brendon Small. BRENDON SMALL’s GALAKTIKON comes as a follow up to Brendon’s work on the chart-topping DETHKLOK albums based on METALOCALYPSE and released by Williams Street Records. DETHKLOK: THE DETHALBUM debuted at #21 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 30,000 copies sold in the first week and held the “fastest- selling death metal album to date” position originally until the follow-up, DETHALBUM II, surpassed it to break the aforementioned record with a #15 debut on the Billboard Top 200.
