Prof. S. R. Niranjana was the Former Vice-Chancellor of Gulbarga University and presently working as Professor & Chairman, DOS in Biotechnology, University of Mysore, Mysuru.

MAJOR NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS AND COLLOBORATIONS During the tenure of Vice Chancellor he made an MOU with the Purdubice University Czech Republic, Earamundas Programme of Gulbarga University and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad in the area of Chemical Technology, Biotechnology and Student Teacher mobility in exchange programme. Prof. S. R. Niranjana has created an excellent infrastructure at the University of Mysore, Mysore as Institution of Excellence (IOE) working as Co-ordinator – Monitoring – MHRD-IOE Project on Biodiversity, Bio-prospecting and Sustainable Development sponsored by MHRD, Government of India.

With all these projects he has generated huge grant to the University of Mysore, Mysuru.
