WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? Handling Life’s Transitions The Renaissance Center is offering An Afternoon of Caring and Sharing on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 1pm—3:30pm at 154 Winters Lane. Call 410-265-7291 to RSVP or to inquire about more information. Refreshments will be served. An opportunity to fellowship and encourage one another on the journey of transitions. Individuals have the opportunity to share their story of going through their season of grief, separation and divorce, retirement, unemployment, health concerns, as caregivers and more. Presentations will be given to help persons cope with what is happening now and what to expect as their journey toward wholeness and acceptance contin- ues. This event is open to everyone who is experiencing a transition or those who want to know how to en- courage their loved ones who find themselves going through changes because of the challenges of life. All ages benefit because children experience distress due to the sudden changes in their normal routine due to what is happening to their family members. Additionally, on Sunday, Dec. 11th at 6:30am, on WJZ-TV’s “ON TIME” TALK SHOW, Lady Carla will discuss the impact of the Renaissance Christian Counseling Center. Church Review Monday, December 12th is the annual Church Review where the Accountants give a report of our finances for 2016 and projections for 2017. Women In Prayer The Women’s Ministry will meet for Prayer on Monday, December 19, 2016 with a theme of The Gift of Prayer. Come for Prayer at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary and then enjoy a Holiday fellowship afterwards in the multi-purpose room.

Outreach Opportunities

The Diaconate Ministry is receiving “cash and/or gift cards” to bless families that are in need of support. Volunteers will be in the lobby to receive your donations or to add you to the families to receive a pack- age each Sunday and after each Wednesday In The Word session. The care package distribution will occur on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11am, and the last day to receive donations will be Wednesday, Decem- ber 14th. Visit the table in the lobby for more information. The Children’s Ministry is creating handwritten notes to accompany Blessing Bags for Sarah’s hope at More Shelter. Bins will be in the lobby through December 18th and donations can also be dropped off at the Children and Youth Christmas Celebration on December 16th. The Morning Star Baptist Church Community Daycare and Learning Center Our Community Daycare and Learning Center serves approximately 60 preschool children ages 2 to 5 years old. The Center operates year-round Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children are placed in groups according to age and ability. The curriculum includes devotion, progressive lesson plans and age- appropriate activities. The Center serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, and schedules daily rest periods on small cots for the children.
