Intent of the Youth Programs Directory The YP Directory is intended to support YP professionals in staying connected with their counterparts from across the CYP Enterprise, the sharing of ideas/information, and to facilitate Youth Sponsorship (e.g. providing a PCS’ing family with their gaining CYPs contact information). 1.2. Update Process The YP Directory will be updated monthly based on the information entered into the CYP Metrics Tool (https://cyp.cnic-n9portal.net/cyp_metrics/). Therefore, it is imperative that CYP Directors update their respective installation’s Contact List within the CYP Metrics Tool to ensure an accurate YP Directory. On a monthly basis, an updated YP Directory will be posted to the CYP e-Library (https://elibrary.cnic- n9portal.net/). For the protection of personal identifiable information (PII), the YP Directory will require a username and password for viewing/downloading. For access to the password protected section of the CYP e-Library, please visit the “Contact Us” section of the CYP e-Library (https://elibrary.cnic- n9portal.net/contact-us/) and request a username and password. Throughout our experience, programmatic agreements have provided little to no recourse of protecting our sacred and unique heritage, as is the case with Mågua village, Tailålo’, Litekyan, countless burial and latte sites, and the natural landscapes that are integral to our historic sites and districts. If we are to truly safeguard our cultural and environmental resources, the PA should not be entered into unless it can guarantee the full protection of our unique and sacred heritage. This draft PA fails to do so, especially with a massive and long-term undertaking such as the MITT. Should the Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration pursue the PA, I recommend that consultations be terminated at this time to allow for broader public input to create a document that ensures preservation of our burials, historic sites and districts, cultural practices, our heritage, and mandates transparency, accountability, and restitution, not mitigation.

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Welcomes First F-5N Tiger II From Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Public Affairs A group gathered in a Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) hangar eagerly awaiting the arrival of the depot’s first F-5N Tiger II fighter, Sept. 11. As the aircraft taxied, trumped in size by the P-8As it passed on the flight line, it showcased its most anticipated attributes. Cmdr. Matt Pearce, F-5 pilot instructor with Fighter Squadron Composite 111 based at NAS Key West, Florida, described it as small, maneuverable and cost-effective — saving the warfighter and taxpayer money, materials and resources. “What we don’t have in technology, we make up in tactics and knowledge,” Pearce said. “Once you take your eyes off of us outside of a mile to a mile and a half, it’s very hard to pick us back up.” Plainly put, by training an F/A-18 pilot in a jet used by the adversary in combat, he or she learns how to outwit and out maneuver the enemy.
