The site for the work is available. 3. Availability of Bid Document and mode of submission: The bid document is available online and bid should be submitted online on website www.tntenders.gov.in. The bidder ID and password for participating in e-tendering in may obtain the same from the website: www.tntenders.gov.in Digital signature is mandatory to participate in the e-tendering. Bidders already possessing the digital signature issued from authorized CAs can use the same in this tender. 4.Bids can be uploaded/submitted up to 3.00 PM on 21.01.2015. 5. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 19.01.2015 at 11.00 hours in the Office of the Project Director, DRDA Cuddalore District to clarify the issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised at the stage as stated in Clause 9.2 of “Instruction to Bidders” of the bidding document. 6. The Original Earnest Money Deposit in the prescribed form should be submitted to the Project Director, DRDA, Cuddalore District office before 3.00 PM of 21.01.2015, failing which the bid shall be summarily rejected. The original / attested technical bid documents should also be submitted before 3.00p.m. of 21.01.2015 7. Bids will be opened at 4.00PM on 21.01.2015 in the office of Project Director, DRDA, Cuddalore District. If the office happens to be closed on the date of opening of the bids as specified, the bids will be opened on the next working day at the same time and venue. 8. Bids online must be accompanied by the scanned copy of earnest money deposit of the amount specified for the work in the table. The Earnest Money should be in the form specified in the bid document in favour of Collector/Chairman, DRDA, Cuddalore District valid for six months after the last date of submission of bids. 9. The bid for the work shall remain open for acceptance for a period of ninety days from the date of opening of bids. If any bidder/ tenderer withdraws his bid/ tender before the said period or makes any modifications in the terms and conditions of the bid, the said earnest money shall stand forfeited. 10. A bidder shall not be permitted to bid for works in the district responsible for award and execution of contracts in which his or his spouse’s near relative (defined as first blood relations, and their spouses) is posted in the capacity of Administrative officer in the cadre between Block Development Officer and Project Director both inclusive and or Technical Officer in the cadre between Assistant Engineer and Executive Engineer both inclusive. 11. No Engineer of gazetted rank or other Gazetted officer employed in Engineering or Administrative duties in an Engineering Department of the State Government is allowed to work as a Contractor for a period of two years after his retirement from Government service, without Government permission. This contract is liable to be cancelled if either the Contractor or any of his employees is found any time to be such a person who had not obtained the permission of the Government as aforesaid before submission of the tender or engagement in the Contractor’s service. 13. Other details can be seen in the bidding documents. The Employer shall not be held liable for any delays due to system failure beyond its control. Even though the system will attempt to notify the bidders of any bid updates, the Employer shall not be liable for any information not received by the bidder.
