The contents hardly require any explanation fora seeker. The development of the world and mankind, which we already announced years ago and to which our publications have pointed emphatically, is now irresistibly becoming reality. They prove the plight of unholiness in which man findshim self through self-delusion and lack of true knowledge. Also this booklet points, in connection with the extremely fast development of the crisis of the world and mankind, to what is to come and to the only path leading to salvation. May in the growing distress of our dangerous era the eyes of manybe opened in time, so that they can still grasp the possi bilities of the liberating ascent that are also contained in the Apocalypse of our times. Catharose de Petri J van Rijckenborgh 1 Due to the death of J van Rijckenborgh in 1968 the last two of the planned Aquarius conferencesdid not take place. 7 I THE INFLUENCE OF SERPENTARIUS AND CYGNUS Opening Tfbrds We would like to begin this temple service with the words, written down and spoken by the late Mr Antonin Gadal: 'Brothers and sisters, maythe beautifulconsolations of Beth lehem be poured out upon all of you.' Amen. In the book On the Pathto the Holy Grail byAntonin Gadal we read: 'If I am worthy, I am God's temple of reason myself. His son Jesus Christ is the living image of his living majesty.A soul taughtby the truth is his altar. The honours and the sacrifices that must be brought to Him, consist of pure and simple prayers alone.' Amen. 'O Christ, 0 divine Master, I have preserved the three ele ments of perfection: the purityof my hands, the purityof my mouth, the purityof my heart.' Amen, yes, amen. 9 Ritual In Genesis 31, verses 44 51 we read: 'Laban said to Jacob: 'Come now, let us make a covenant, you and I; and let it be a witness between you and me. So Jacob took up a stone, and set it up as a pillar. And Jacob said to his kinsmen, 'Gather stones, and they took stones, and made a heap; and they ate there by the heap. Laban called it Je'gar-sa hadu 'tha: but Jacob called it Galeed. Laban said: 'This heap is a witness between you and me to day. Thereforehe named it Galeed, and the pillar Mizpah, for he said, 'The Lord watch between you and me, when we are ab sent one fromthe other. If you ill-treat my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us, remember, God is witness between you and me. Then Laban said to Jacob, 'See this heap and the pillar, which I haveset between you and me.' Amen. With this quotation fromGenesis 31 we hope to have foundthe focusof our concentration, so that the work, which is to be car ried out by the pupils of the Lectorium Rosicrucianum in this fifth Aquarius conference, will succeed. A witness stone was also laid by the Young Gnostic Brother hood at Ussat-les-Bains, France in the valley of the Ariege on May 5th, 1957. This sealed the great link between the Lectorium Rosicrucianum and all its predecessors in the Chain of the Brotherhood. In spite of all impediments and up to this very mo- . ment, the Young Gnostic Brotherhood has proven its loyalty to Christ and his Chain ofthe Brotherhood. Therefore,we are filled with a sense of deep gratitude to God, whose power and strength have been manifested in and through the Brotherhood of Life, the Spiritual School of the Young Gnosis and its host of pupils, and who has made this fifthAquarius conferencepossible. IO Just as the pure and perfect ones of the Gnostic Chain of the Brotherhood of all times had to live and struggle through the process of liberation, this also applies to every serious pupil of the present-dayLectorium Rosicrucianum. An enormous activity has developed among the pupil workers of the Spiritual School in the last fewmonths, both on a spiritual and on a physical level, as a preparation forwhat was to take place in the fifthAquarius conferencein the cityof Toulousein the year 1967. The new heavenand the new earth will be revealed, not only forthe perfectones, but forall that want to belong to the Gno sis. If theYoung Gnostic Brotherhood is allowed to contribute to this by its work and efforts, the labour of the truly living ones will be accomplished again. Whoever testifiesof this, will un hesitatingly sayfrom within: 'Yes,amen!' Thus the preparatory page of the Great Book of the Young Gnosis has been written. This page will now be turned over and, God willing, together we will start a completely new page with the firmresolution: to be faithfulto God, to be faithfulto the Brotherhood of Life, to be faithfulto the YoungGnostic Brotherhood, as manifested in and through the Lectorium Rosicrucia num, until one day the great sign, the sign of the witness, will havebeen erected in each of us. Then the fulfilmentof every thing we havespoken of during this fifthAquarius conference in the South of France in the year 1967, will once again become a powerfulreality. Amen. II First address We would like to begin this fifth Aquarius conferenceby re peating what has already been said so often in our addresses during the last few months. Various electromagnetic forces and currents fromouter space are accumulating in the planes adjacentto our planet and havealready begun to be connected with the magnetic fieldof our earth. This situation has reached a very critical phase. That is why we are unable to refrain from drawing your attention to it again. We now want to relate this warning to an announce ment which was already imparted to us in the ConfessioFrater nitatisof the Brotherhoodof the Rosycrossin the year 1615 AD. 'With respect to his will, however, God has already sent out messengers in advance, to wit, certain stars which have ap peared in Serpentarius and Cygnus. These truly great signs of his mightyordinance can teach us how much he, if everything man's ingenuityhas discovered were to be combined, would make this serve his secret scriptures. Thus, the Book of Nature stands open and revealed to all eyes, although there are but few who can read it all, much less understand it.' If you could fullyunderstand the intention of this message of the Brotherhood of the Rosycross, you would know that this Brotherhood precedes the scientificachievements of the best minds of present-daymankind by many centuries. Apart from this, they have developed faculties that far exceed all known human faculties. Let us closely follow these sublime messen gers. In the eighthch apter of the ConfessioFraternitatis R. C the authors havealready informedus that they were certain that everything they still had to keepsecret, or at best could corn- 12 municate in a very veiled manner only, would finally be pro claimed to the whole world 'within a short time which now approaches with rapid strides, after the world has slept offthe stupor of its cup filledwith poisons and intoxicants'. What do these words mean? As modern people we know that Serpentarius and Cygnus are two nebula systems. They are unimaginably large by our standards and are moving with amazingly high velocity through primordial matter as the great purifiers and divine correctors of the damage in and of the all-manifestation.This at least is one of their functions. The classical Rosicrucians were completely informedabout the tasks of Serpentarius and Cygnus. They also knew that humanityhad reached the end of its journey through the nat ure of death and that it had nearly reached the bottom of the nadir. As a result the whole of mankind had sunk into an in creasingly denser darkness because of the concentration of na dir forces, which no longer developed naturally. This meant sinking into a physicalsomnolence so that understanding, rea son and the facultyto react to the plan of God degenerated and were lost. It can be understood that, before this fatal point was reached, everything possible was done in the world to avoid such a period of sleep. Religious impulses with a deep philoso phical background touched the whole of mankind. Messen gers were sent to teach and to show every race and nation the one true pathof redemption in this era, beforethe test of the times would arrive. And the most exalted saviourthat ever ap peared to mankind came to reveal and to confirmhis message of salvation in time.

  • Who Is Christian Rosycross? the Classical Rosicrucian Writings
Lectorium Rosicrucianum Det Gyldne Rosenkreuz' Internationale Skole Who is Christian Rosycross? Christian Rosycross is one of the most mysterious characters in European intellectual history. What mystery lies behind the name? “Who is Christian Rosycross?” If you ask these questions today, then the questions “Has this man actually lived?” and “Who are the Rosicrucians?” inevitably follow. The answer to these questions requires an inner search for truth – not the ordinary truth of historical facts – but the timeless truth about the nature and purpose of human existence. Rosicrucians in the Lectorium Rosicrucianum see in Christian Rosyross a spiritual prototype, their “Father-brother” and founder of the spiritual Order while at the same time the name of the force field from which they benefit. In the classical Rosicrucian writings of the 17th century this force field is called the “House Sancti Spiritus“. These sources of western spiritual history contain references that can touch a truth-seeker deeply and perhaps help him open a door to intuitive knowledge. This is the subject of the following article. The classical Rosicrucian writings Anyone who discovers the three original writings of the classical Rosicrucians finds himself faced with an abundance of mysterious symbols and images. These manuscripts were published in the years 1614-1616 by the German theologian Johann Valentin Andreae from Calw, who was a member of the so-called „Tubingen Circle“, a fellowship of spiritually inspired men. The manuscripts tell us about Christian Rosycross and the Rosicrucian Brotherhood. The three titles are: 1. Fama Fraterniatits R.C. (The Call of the Rosicrucian Brotherhood, 1614) 2.

The Gate of Saturn Saturn is the ruler of matter and the cause of all processes of crystallisation. As such he is the power of obstruction, deterioration and decline. It is also Saturn’s task to reveal everything the human being has created. That is why he is sometimes depicted as the man with the sickle and the hour-glass, as the hierophant of death. For he brings all the values of dialectical and satanic man, all the results of selfishness and the rampant lover life into the light of day, at a psychological moment. Saturn is Father Time, Chronos, who orders: Thus far and no further’. But Saturn is also the one who initiates. Those who walk the path of life-renewal to live again in harmony with the great, universal law of life, will meet Saturn as the one who reveals everything that has become new: the imperishable values secured within the soul. Saturn, the envoy of death in transient nature then becomes the herald of the resurrected, immortal man.

T The Lectorium Rosicrucianum, or International School of the Golden Rosycross, aims to help seekers find and form a living connection with this shining filament, which is woven of love, wisdom, knowledge (gnosis) and action. Most importantly, this golden thread is a Path that can actual - ly be walked, a Path shown by all religions in their original form. No Master or Initiate can give the Truth to another. It can only be approached by our own efforts, and by persevering throughout all the obstructions and difficulties we encounter on the way. And it can only be reached through an inner process of transformation called 'soul-rebirth', or 'transfigura - tion'.

  • Rosicrucianism Definition and Origins Rosicrucianism Is a Major Esoteric
Rosicrucianism Definition and Origins Rosicrucianism is a major esoteric current that comprises a textual and symbolic tradition as well as a large number of social organizations, most of them initiatory. It originated with three controversial volumes published in Germany between 1614 and 1620, amidst deep political and religious anxieties in Europe that would soon erupt in the Thirty Years’ War. The two most important texts, the Fama Fraternitatis (1614) and the Confessio Fraternitatis (1615), are known as the Rosicrucian “manifestos,” and were most likely written by a small group of scholars in Tübingen, including Johann Valentin Andreae (1586–1654), Christoph Besold (1577–1648), and Tobias Hess (1586–1614). On the one hand, the manifestos advanced a vision of Christian piety harmonized with the emerging sciences, drawing on a range of esoteric influences from alchemy and Paracelsianism to Christian kabbalah and Hermeticism; on the other, they announced the existence of a secret society founded by a medieval initiate into Oriental mysteries named Christian Rosenkreuz, which keeps powerful esoteric secrets and works towards a millennialist goal: the “general reformation of the whole world.” The publications sparked wide interest and a major furor over the existence of these Rosicrucian brothers, inspiring a series of pro-Rosicrucian books written in the spirit of the manifestos, including the writings of Robert Fludd (1674–1637), Michael Maier (1568–1622), Jan Amos Comenius (1592–1670) and others. From Fiction to Fact While historians agree that no Rosicrucian brotherhood really existed at the time of the manifestos’ publication (Andreae famously referred to the texts as a ludibrium), several such societies were later invented.
