2004-05 Eagle Basketball,,, Dear Friends: Morehead State University is committed to upholding the highest integrity within all procedures and practices of the ath letic department. We arc pleased to publish this note as a reference to under landing often confusing CAA regulations. The NCAA defines "representatives of athletic interests" a alumni, friends and boosters of the Un iversity. All member institutions are held accountable for their representati ves' actions. One violat ion could jeopardize the eligibi lity of any or all Eagle Athletic programs. As a general rule, anyone who ha financially supported Eagle Athletics, been a member of any boo ter organization. or who has supported Eagle Athletic i considered a "representative" of Eagle Athletics. If anyone has questions regarding these types of relationships, please contact Brian Hutch inson, Interim Director of Athletics (606) 783-2088. Prospective student-athletes can be defined as a student who has started eta ses in the ninth grade or any younger student-athlete who has received a benefit from the institution. These individuals may on ly be recruited by MSU coache who have passed the NCAA Recruiting Rules Examination. While "representatives" of Eagle Athletics may speak to any of these individuals via telephone or m person, a recru iting effort must not be made. Also, no student-athlete or prospective student-athlete may receive any extra benefit outside of the support provided by the insti tu tion. For any questions regarding this description, plea e contact Paula Jackson, Assistant Director of Athletics (606) 783-5 136. These are certainly not all the regulations any "representative" of Eagle Athletics must remember. 1l owever, they provide a good outline of the types of things that could endanger the eligibility of any MSU Athletics program. Again, feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Thanks again for your support of Morehead State Athletic .

Sincerely,

Brian I lutchin on Interim Director of Athletics
