You Am I Photo: Richard Clifford APRIL 14–MAY 2 2021 APRIL SUN 2021 The inaugural April Sun festival saw nine outdoor concerts presented in a custom-built outdoor arena in the St Kilda Triangle. The concert series presented a diverse range of artists from a broad range of genres and backgrounds. The series represented a welcome return to relative concert-going normality following over 12 months of social restrictions due to the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic. On Friday, April 14th, G Flip proudly kicked off Australia’s first General Admission music festival event since mid‑March 2020. In partnership with Live Nation Australasia and Pavilion Australia, the concerts attracted over 12,000 ticket holders. The shows generated direct employment to the value of AU$1.162 million. A welcome opportunity, providing a sorely needed income for artists, agents, event management professionals and event contractors’ teams. April Sun 2021 is proud to be supported by the City of Port Phillip, The Palais Theatre, Creative Victoria, Red Bull, Fizz, Grain shaker and Mountain Goat.
