These objects include the Sun, Moon, planets, stars, galaxies and all other matter in the universe. The zodiac is linked to astronomy because it is closely tied to how the Earth orbits the sun. As Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to pass in front of different constellations. Much like the moon appears in a slightly different place in the sky each night, the location of the sun (relative to distant background stars) drifts in an easterly direction from day to day. It’s not that the sun is actually moving. Its motion is entirely an illusion, caused by Earth’s own motion around our star. As the Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to move against the background stars (red line). The constellations (green) through which the sun passes define the zodiac. Over the course of a year, the sun appears to be in front of, or “in”, different constellations. One month, the sun appears in Gemini; the next month, in Cancer. Astrology: Astrology is the study of how the positions of the stars and movements of the planets have a supposed influence on events and on the lives and behaviour of people. He sent a giant sea monster named Cetus to destroy the region where Andromeda’s parents ruled. They were promised to have their region spared if they sacrificed Andromeda, their daughter. Perseus who was riding his horse, Pegasus, was flying high in the skies above and swooped down to save Andromeda, in return turning Cetus into stone. Saturn is all about stability and responsibly and hard work. When it influences us astrologically, it makes us cut out the things that no longer serve us. We trim down on extravagances so we can focus on the things that are most important to us. This is why it’s associated with the word “constriction” which on the surface is a hard energy to deal with. On the contrary it is absolutely necessary to have this energy in our lives, just like we need the root chakra to ground us. The signs ruled by Saturn are CAPRICORN and Aquarius. I do think that Capricorn fits with the root chakra, but Aquarius doesn’t. Capricorn is a sign that is extremely focused and hard working and has direction and focus in life. Capricorn makes sure a foundation is set before they start building a house. In my own opinion, I think that the signs TAURUS and SCORPIO also fit under the Root Chakra umbrella.
