The Sun represents your will and purpose, your sense of vitality, and your evolving higher Self. If we express our Sun’s sign best qualities we can create meaningful interactions with others. In Capricorn it is Cardinal-Earth, and rules the bones, skin and knees. Your ruling planet is Saturn. Capricorn people are ambitious and practical, and you are likely to have an excellent sense of social responsibility. You also tend to be conscious of social mores, perhaps to the point of over-concern. Your natural caution allows you to advance slowly and steadily to the top. Capricorn represents the accomplishments of the material and the quest for prestige, honor and success in public achievement. It is also possible that the driving force behind your ambition partially lies in deep-rooted feelings of insecurity. You put yourself under enormous pressure to perform, and can feel personally responsible for those around you. You may have suffered from a restrictive early environment, and your aloofness may serve to protect you from dealing with a fear of intimacy, or low self-esteem. You exemplify the values of hard work and accomplishment, and service to the goals of humanity, and your redemption comes when you allow the spiritual joy that you feel inside to fully express itself in graceful acts of loving-kindness. The Sun in the Second House represents a concentration of the vital force to obtain sustenance and possess resources. Resources are security for you. You have a strong urge to identify those resources that create safety and comfort for yourself and those closest to you, and a strong sense of what you truly value. Your formidable will power attracts much of what you desire to you. Once you possess something it takes on a special significance for you. You tend to hold onto and value what you have, whether for aesthetic pleasure or monetary wealth. You also love beauty and symbols of beauty. You may perhaps seek to develop personal resources in order to discover your own sense of self-worth. You also may attract influential friends. It is important that you learn how to share your sense of values and valuables with others. You can serve as an example in choosing to demonstrate how to be resourceful and appreciative of what you have and others share with you. YOUR MOON SIGN YOU WERE BORN WITH PISCES IN YOUR 3RD HOUSE. The Moon represents your feelings, emotions, your instinctive reaction to life circumstances, and your evolving higher Self. The Moon reflects our deepest core beliefs that we hold about ourselves. The Moon in Pisces gives a sweet and gentle nature. You are visionary and poetic, and very sensitive to spiritual values. You are compassionate and empathetic with other people. You may be something of a dreamer, and you may feel the need to escape at times, for the real world seems too cruel and unkind. You have great sympathy for the down-trodden and disadvantaged. You may experience some suffering through your emotions, especially if your inner needs are not being met. You also have a tendency to be easily swayed by others. It is very important that you be true to yourself, and to your inner process of striving toward spiritual understanding and the gift of sympathy toward your fellow-beings. The Moon in the Third House represents an emotional sensitivity in response to thinking and the intellect. Your mind is ever alert for new information. Your moods are linked with your mental process. You may feel anxiety caused by your habit of constantly questioning the ideas and concepts of the world around you. Each answer you find can be the source of another question for your mind to ponder. Your thinking processes may lack continuity. You are likely to be easily distracted from being able to focus or concentrate. Constant mental activity can lead to a restless nervous system. You dislike routine. Short journeys and personal studies are beneficial to you. You need a variety of stimulation in your mental environment in order to feel comfortable and satisfied. YOUR RISING SIGN YOU WERE BORN WITH SAGITTARIUS RISING. The Rising Sign (AKA Ascendant Sign) represents the mask shown to others, also your physical appearance. Sagittarius Rising people are direct and forthright, good-natured and optimistic. Your ruling planet is Jupiter. One always knows where one stands with you. You come across as honest and forthright. You have a strong moral nature, yet you are also fun-loving and enjoy a good laugh, even at your own expense. Sagittarius is associated with idealism, religion and philosophy and the quest for freedom. You are friendly and well-liked by others, who are attracted to your open and honest nature. You love adventure, sports and travel, gambling and risk-taking. You are generous and easy-going, also very curious about the world around you. You are a lover of nature, and have an enthusiasm which can be contagious. At the highest level, you are concerned with understanding, perception, and mental activity in the service of high ideals, for the benefit of mankind. YOUR MIDHEAVEN YOU WERE BORN WITH VIRGO IN YOUR 10TH HOUSE. The Midheaven represents your individuality, the outward expression of your energies. It can also be referred to as ego identity, and has a strong connection with public life and career. The Midheaven also represents your aspirations and ideals. Together with the Ascendant, it represents personality in interaction with the world. Natal planets in conjunction with the Midheaven are considered "elevated" and are emphasized in the chart. The Tenth House symbolizes the public life, authority, career issues, and also represents the mother, or perhaps the opposite-sex parent. As standing opposite the Fourth House, the Tenth House represents how the foundation of the personality is made manifest and concrete in the world. The birth chart is often divided into four seven-year periods, one per quadrant, cycling each twenty-eight years of life, and the Tenth House is reached at age 21, the age of legal adulthood. Planets in the Tenth House will indicate what the energies and challenges are for your career, and also how your mother (or perhaps father) was experienced. Virgo is Mutable-Earth, and rules the digestive system. Its ruling planet is Mercury, also the asteroids. Virgo is analytical and organized, with perfectionist tendencies. It loves work and service to others, and the gathering of the fruits of the material world (harvest). Virgo people have a reputation for neatness which can border on obsession, and for nervousness and a concern over issues of health. They must beware of being overly critical. The mission of Virgo is the purification of its activity in pursuit of its goals, the inherent love of excellence in all strivings. Your Inner + Outer Worlds The following interpretations refers to an individual position in your chart. All of these positions and aspects are some of the parts that make up the whole you. Some of the interpretations will be contradictory just as some people are contradictory. Also know that we evolve throughout our lives and that affects how much these interpretations resonate with us. MERCURY IN CAPRICORN Mercury in Capricorn gives a serious, practical and detached mentality. With this placement you have a diplomatic bent, and also make a good teacher. You are determined and careful in your speech and communication with others, as well as in your own mental activity. You tend to be acutely aware of your surroundings. You can help keep others on track with the reality of what is going on. You have good concentration and attention to detail. You can also be somewhat intolerant. You benefit from lifting your vision to the higher issue and cultivating idealism. Mercury in the Second House represents a strong connection between your inner awareness and your values, or the resources available for your use. You have an innate sense of what you most need in order to survive. Your thinking is well grounded in reality. You are a natural conduit for the acquisition and distribution of resources, with a talent for dealing with issues of finance or property rights. You learn more from practical matters than from schooling, since ideas are less interesting to you without a practical application. You have an artistic quality of mind, with a well-developed aesthetic sense. You may be interested in a profession that involves the written word, education, or finance. You also have a strong tendency to go your own way, to believe what you want to believe. You benefit from developing detachment and cultivating an open-minded attitude. VENUS IN CAPRICORN Venus in Capricorn gives a serious and conservative love nature. With this placement, your instinct is to do what you feel you should do, and to refrain from passionate outbursts that may prove harmful to yourself or others. You are a reliable friend and companion, being in it for the long haul. You are fond of worldly status, and may exhibit ambition, and pride in the station you have attained. You are likely to be reserved. You respond to conventional wisdom in the gift of your affection, seldom taking emotional risks.

  • Astrology Vs. Astronomy
Name: Pd. Date: Astrology vs. Astrono my Astrologists claim that a person’s character and destiny can be determined by the position of the sun, moon, and stars at the time of his or her birth. A person’s sign is the constellation that the sun is in at the time of birth. To say that the sun is in a sign is to say that the constellation, the sun, and the earth are in a straight line. Astrologists use 12 constellations, found in a circle around the sky. The dates that the sun is in each constellation vary by approximately 4 ½ weeks, and have not changed for millennia. Astronomers know that the sun actually travels through 13 constellations, and that the sun stays in each constellation for a different amount of time, depending on the size of the constellation. Astronomers also know that the direction the earth is pointing in changes slightly over a thousand years, so the position of the constellation the sun is in has changed slightly. • The Zodiac: Astronomy Vs Astrology
The Zodiac: Astronomy vs Astrology Astronomy: Astronomy is the study of all objects outside Earth’s atmosphere. These objects include the Sun, Moon, planets, stars, galaxies and all other matter in the universe. The zodiac is linked to astronomy because it is closely tied to how the Earth orbits the sun. As Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to pass in front of different constellations. Much like the moon appears in a slightly different place in the sky each night, the location of the sun (relative to distant background stars) drifts in an easterly direction from day to day. It’s not that the sun is actually moving. Its motion is entirely an illusion, caused by Earth’s own motion around our star. As the Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to move against the background stars (red line). The constellations (green) through which the sun passes define the zodiac. Over the course of a year, the sun appears to be in front of, or “in”, different constellations. One month, the sun appears in Gemini; the next month, in Cancer. Astrology: Astrology is the study of how the positions of the stars and movements of the planets have a supposed influence on events and on the lives and behaviour of people. An astrologer looks at the planets' positions and tries to understand a person's character or tries to predict the future. Each of the zodiac signs are said to have different personality traits. Here is some more information about the characteristics associated with each sign: Aries (March 21 – April 19) Aries loves to be number one, so it’s no surprise that these audacious rams are the first sign of the zodiac.

Her Story Andromeda was a princess from a region in Africa. Her parents were rulers, her mother was Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia believed that she was so beautiful, even more beautiful than all of the sea nymphs around. This upset Poseidon, the ruler of the sea. He sent a giant sea monster named Cetus to destroy the region where Andromeda’s parents ruled. They were promised to have their region spared if they sacrificed Andromeda, their daughter. They chained Andromeda to a rock and there she stayed until she was rescued. Perseus who was riding his horse, Pegasus, was flying high in the skies above and swooped down to save Andromeda, in return turning Cetus into stone. YOU SHOULD KNOW • Andromeda’s stars aren’t very bright. • Andromeda contains the Andromeda Galaxy, it’s very similar to the Milk Way Galaxy. • It’s a spiral galaxy that contains over 200 billion stars, as well as a double star. Saturn is all about stability and responsibly and hard work. When it influences us astrologically, it makes us cut out the things that no longer serve us. We trim down on extravagances so we can focus on the things that are most important to us. This is why it’s associated with the word “constriction” which on the surface is a hard energy to deal with. On the contrary it is absolutely necessary to have this energy in our lives, just like we need the root chakra to ground us. The signs ruled by Saturn are CAPRICORN and Aquarius. I do think that Capricorn fits with the root chakra, but Aquarius doesn’t. Capricorn is a sign that is extremely focused and hard working and has direction and focus in life. Capricorn makes sure a foundation is set before they start building a house. In my own opinion, I think that the signs TAURUS and SCORPIO also fit under the Root Chakra umbrella.

  • Astrology Or Astronomy?
Astrology or Astronomy? I can’t tell you how many times I have heard even well educated people confuse these two words. Astronomy, of course, is the science of understanding the universe extending from the Earth outward. Astrology is the pseudo-science of understanding how the heavens affect and control our personalities, our lives, and our fates. However, to the uninitiated there does seem to be some overlap! Both astronomers and astrologers concern themselves with the Sun, the Moon, the planets, and the signs of the zodiac: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius, and Pisces. So what connection is there, if any? To find out complete the following exercise in Astrology. What’s Your Sign? To an astrologer your “sign” is more specifically your “Sun sign” and it represents the constellation that the Sun was “in” at the moment of your birth. Although you may think you already know your sign, you may be wrong! For example if you were born on Feb. 19, 1989 your sun sign is Pisces but if you were born on Feb. 19, 1990 your sun sign is Aquarius! A professional astrologer would consult you for a fee to determine your correct sun sign but the directions below will give you the result for free! 1. Divide the year of your birth by 4, and take note of the remainder. It will be either 1, 2, 3, or 0. As an example, consider a person born on June 22, 1963. 1963 4 = 490 with a remainder of 3. 2. Use the remainder to choose the correct column that will give you your sign based on the month and day of your birth.
