Ensuring Sacred Space For All At Church This Christmas To preserve the sanctity of the Church during this joyous and holy season, all parishioners are asked to respect the following guidelines: With regard to the 3:30pm Christmas Eve Mass—the Church will not be open until 2:00pm. There will be no entry into the Church or saving of seats allowed prior to that time. Please do not line up in front of the Church prior to the appointed time. Any reserving of seats requires at least one family member present at all times. The ushers will advise the assembly when seats can no longer be saved. The handicapped will always be given priority which could result in the loss of a seat previously saved for a non-handicapped person. While we appreciate that toddlers in Church may need some light snack and water, full meals, larger snacks, and refreshments are never appropriate. This includes coffee, sports drinks, soda etc. Items brought into the Church should be taken out—not left for someone else to clean up. In addition, all parishioners are asked to remember the Sanctuary as a sacred place where Jesus presides - - where the faithful come for peaceful prayer and to share a few moments with God. By following the guidelines all who enter are assured a beautiful spiritual experience this Christmas. Thank you in advance for your support.
Independent Compensation Program for Victim-Survivors of Abuse by Diocesan Clergy (ICP) As Part of our long-standing commitment to provide pastoral care and to support he healing process for victim-survivors, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, along with five other dioceses in California, is participating in the new Independent Compensation Program by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Diocese of Fresno, Diocese of Orange, Diocese of Sacramento, Diocese of San Bernardino, and Diocese of San Diego for Victim-Survivors of Sexual Abuse of Minors by Priests (ICP). The program has begun accepting registrations from any person who has been sexually abused as a minor by diocesan priests of the participating dioceses, no matter when that abuse might have occurred. Funding for the program in our Archdiocese will come from self-insured reserves, monies set aside for this purpose. We pray that this new program might provide another avenue toward healing and hope.
