Harian January The celebration of Harian started with “HULI-WHITE” in 1951 when a white rooster was suddenly seen while a group of friends was having a shindig. Astonished by what they had seen, they tried to capture the white bird. Thus the word “HULI” which means to capture. “WHITE” refers to the color of the bird. That same night, the group of friends proclaimed themselves as the three kings in honor of Kings Melchor, Gaspar and Baltazar and they called their kingdom as “HULI-WHITE” Pinetensya Holy Week Penitents express sorrow for their sins by flagellating themselves while processing around the town. Via Crusis and Alay Pasan Krus Five Sunday of Lent Among the most popular procession in the parish is the Via Crusis. Flores de Mayo May Praying of to the Blessed Virgin Mary every afternoon the whole month of May Reyna Elena Last Sunday of May The Procession commemorates the finding of the holy cross in by St. Helena the Empress. Adding color to the procession is the inclusion of Biblical characters, Titles of the Virgin Mary and some historical figures. Santacruzan 9 Days before the A synchronized novena in the three poblacion barangays which consists of bringing three Reyna Elena antique crosses to the homes of nine families for overnight stay.
