And with which he loved us, Jesus said to him, "Why do you call even when we were dead me good? No one is good but God through our trespasses, alone. You know the made us alive together with (by commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, grace you have been saved), and raised Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your us up with him, and made us sit with father and mother.' And when Jesus heard it, Jesus, that in the coming ages he might he said to him, "One thing you still lack. Sell all that show the immeasurable riches of his you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will grace in kindness toward us in Christ have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." But Jesus. For by grace you have been when he heard this he became sad, for he was very saved through faith; and this is not your rich. Jesus looking at him said, "How hard it is for own doing, it is the gift of God: not those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! because of works, lest any man should For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a boast. Fr.’s Corner

"And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually." 1 Corinthians 12:26-27

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

The Holy Bible is clear in stating that we are the body of Christ. His body can not be divided; therefore, as an Orthodox Christian parish family, we are one in Christ Jesus our Lord, and we give thanks as one together for the blessings that we receive as a St. Katherine parish family. NOW is the time for rejoicing!

As we entered into the blessed Nativity Fast on Friday, November 15, in anticipation of the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, the greatest event in human history, we were showered with incredible blessings from the Lord:

1. We closed on the sale of our Orange Blossom parcel (east lot) to Erickson Living 2. We retired the loan on our Longview parcel (corner lot) 3. We received our Hurricane Irma settlement

All told, our bank balance currently exceeds $9.2 million. The overwhelming majority of these funds have been deposited in designated and restricted funds that are highly protected.

All of this could not have been accomplished without a multi-team/multi-year effort of the Parish Council, including a 3 year effort by special negotiating committees of the Parish Council consisting of Foti Frangakis, Jim Ketis, Fr. Philemon, Mitch Bodnarchuk and Helen Athan; by our Real Estate Committee Chair, Art Katsaros; our Banking Committee consisting of Dr. Harry Dimopoulos and Dr. John Eliopoulos; and by a committee of the former Parish Council led by Kosta Tsiskakis and Peter Kalamaras, who had the foresight to purchase the east lot back in 2002 when we had the opportunity.

Therefore, let us give thanks as a parish family for God's abundant grace!

Always agape,

Fr. Philemon
