After allocation of $50 per student, if funds remain, SFAs with fewer than 50% of students eligible for free and/or reduced-price meals may be considered for funding, per USDA guidance. If there is still funding remaining, per student allocation can be increased up to $75 per student. Applicants are ranked according to free and reduced-price eligibility percentages from highest to lowest, with highest percentages receiving priority. This funding amount is for July 2020 through September 30, 2020. The same awardees will be notified of additional funding as soon as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) notifies states of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 grant amount. In order to be approved for grant funding, applicants must have submitted the completed FFVP grant application by the July 6, 2020 4:00 p.m. deadline. Late applications were not accepted.
